The Iroquois People
and Music Festival
The Eastern Woodlands were once home to many groups of
Native Americans. One large group, the Iroquois people,
partnered with five Native American groups.
Today visit the Ganondagan State Historic Site and attend the
Native American Dance and Music Festival.

Immigrants Ellis Island


The United States began to grow rapidly in the late 1800s.
Immigrants arrived looking for a better life. After 1892, most
immigrants entered the United States through the immigration
center on Ellis Island in New York harbor.
