Pre-requisites:
Understanding of programming, databases, and algorithms.
Objectives of the course:
1. To motivate the students to work in emerging / latest technologies
2. To help the student to develop ability to apply theoretical and practical tools/techniques to solve real life
problems related to industry, academic institutions and research laboratories
3. To provide enough experience to the students to carry out the larger project in the sixth semester.

Students are supposed to find out a suitable project and prepare a detailed plan in fifth semester so
that it can be executed smoothly in sixth semester. The students then will work on the identified
problem through a rigorous process of understanding and analysing the problem, conducting a
literature survey, deriving, discussing (monitored by guide) and designing the project proposal
with the following subtitles:
 Rationale (one page)
 Introduction
 Literature survey 30
 Problem definition
 Proposed methodology of solving identified problem
 In-case some prototype has to be fabricated then its tentative design and procedure for
making it should be part of the proposal.
 Resources and consumables required.
 Action plan (Sequential list of activities with probable dates of completion)

Course Outcomes:
After successful completion of this course, student will be able to
1. Write the problem/task specification in existing system.

project.
