Present Status: It is being labelled as tourist spot (Previously managed by HDMC and now
handed over to Forest Department of Dharwad division, Hubballi – Dharwad range).
Now, it can be rejuvenated to make it is a favorite location for locals/outsiders by further
enhancing tourist friendly features and activities development/ Recreational activities.
PROJECT PURPOSE
 Today’s digital life demands / needs, recreation / change / opportunity and location
to spend quality time with family and friends. Such refreshening moments will
certainly help an individual to relieve stress and become ready to face more
challenges in life. A touch of nature, eco friendly environment acts as a catalyst to
enable and individual to relieve stress
 Hubballi- Dharwad, a Tier –II city in Karnataka, is being developed under various
Government Schemes like SMART CITY DEVELOPMENT etc. But a properly planned
and designed Eco-Tourism spot is the need of the Hour.
 Sanjeevni garden being at an ideal location, can be suitably developed for the
purpose. It can be a self sustainable Eco tourism spot, protecting the interests of
parent department i.e. FOREST Department and simultaneously act as Recreation
Centre and will certainly attract huge footfall.
 The topography can be well utilized to create spots of attraction to relax and relieve
stress. Natural water body, Water falls, Food courts, Adventure games, walk throughs,
walking tracks can be places of attraction, for people from all walks of life and age-
groups.
PROJECT OUTCOMES OF SUCH DEVELOPMENT
 Will Help to develop a community to stimulate social interaction.
 Will Provide opportunities for a healthier urban environment.
 Will Help to increase bio-diversity of flora and fauna.
 Will Positively impact the urban micro-climate.
 Converting into Eco-tourism spot, we will generate revenue through
tourism directed towards exotic, often threatened, natural environments,
intended to support conservation efforts and observe wildlife.
