By the grace of God- You are a chicken

There was a chicken which wanted to be an eagle. She stopped eating chicken feed and started eating
worms but still was chicken. She left the chicken house and went to live in the mountain tops. She took
off her feathers and glued eagle feathers; she even stopped speaking like a chicken and spoke like an
eagle but this did not change her from being a chicken. We are sinners and cannot change it, only by the
grace of God we can be born again

I will be pure- The locomotive wouldn’t move

Robert and his friends went to see a locomotive. One day they went to talk to the engineer who was
fixing a locomotive. He told them that he wanted to show them something. The engineer said he had
something that could make a locomotive not to move .Robert and his friends were eager to know what
it was. The engineer took out from his pocket two pennies. He placed them at the front of the train
wheels. He started the train, the engine started but the locomotive wouldn’t move. Small bad things can
make us impure before God.

I will be Kind- The kindest man ever lived

Jesus was the kindest man ever, He healed blind Bartimaeus, and He healed the ten lepers. He raised
Lazarus from the dead. He even died for our sins on the cross. Let us be kind like Jesus.

I will be True- faithful unto death

A snowstorm suddenly came before the shepherd could bring all the sheep into the fold.brucie, his dog
went up the mountain digging up buried sheep. By nightfall, one sheep was missing .Brucie went up the
mountain and searched for the lost sheep .at midnight, brucie came with the last sheep. Just like Brucie
won`t we save others from the pit of sin.

I will keep the Pathfinder Law- Why Bobby winked

Bobby thought it was fun to break God`s laws and even school rules. One day anew teacher came to the
class, Mr. Spears. Mr. Spears did not like pupils breaking school rules. One day Bobby threw a broken
pencil at Horace, the other boys urged him to throw it back.Mr Spears told the class to keep quiet.
Bobby said, “Try make me”. Mr. Spears walked up to his desk and asked him if he said that. Bobby
admitted and was taken to a room at the end of the block.Mr Spears took off his belt and started
beating him. Bobby swore never to break school rules again. At the end of the term Bobby`s parents
were amazed at Bobby`s behavior change.Boby winked to Mr. Spears behind his parents.

I will be a servant of God – Battle of the Back Benches

The battle of Back Benches took place at camp meeting. Three girls and a boy were involved .The
preacher preached and then gave a call. Beverly whispered to Annie,”Lets go forward” .Annie stood still.
Beverly said the same to Connie. Connie did not move. Beverly decided to go to the pulpit. When the
preacher gave the final call, Connie, Annie and the little boy came forward. Beverly was happy for them.

I will be a friend to man – While Mother was out.

Mother and Father had to go to a church meeting, but she was worried about the dishes she had to do
when she came back. Connie heard her mother talk about it. When they went out, Connie came from
her bedroom and did all the dishes and cleaned the stove. She even swept the kitchen floor. Connie
finished just in time as her parents were opening the gate. She rushed to her bedroom. When father
opened the door and switched the lights on. Mother was surprised but knew who did it. They were
proud of Connie. When you are a good friend to man, God will bless you.

I will keep the morning watch – Is God a day chaser

Donald lost his dog and prayed to God. The following morning the dog came back. Allen lost his parrot,
he prayed to God, but the parrot did not come back. God does not want us to love HIM when we are in
need. We should love God because Christ died for us.

I will do my honest part – A bottle of hard work

Jimmy worked in a little store. The meat-cutter told him to give the chief cooker of the hotel, a bottle of
whisky to get more money. Jimmy refused and at one time was so broke but not for long He was finally
hired to work at a better store. He soon became the owner and owned more than 500 stores.

Care for my body – Health Reform

Seventh-day Adventists have a lot to say about health reform E.G.White wrote a lot about health reform
in her books. So as pathfinders we strive to reach a high standard of physical fitness.

Keep a level Eye – Nancy’s Eyes

Nancy stole something from a friend and told Connie about it. Connie told Nancy to return it to the
owner, but Nancy was scared. In the end Nancy came with sparkling eyes and Connie knew Nancy did it.

I will be courteous and obedient – Janet’s Jeans

Janet was told to go to school wearing her jeans by her mother. She refused. When she got to school,
she raced with her friends down the corridor. Suddenly Janet fell and was hurt badly. She was taken to
hospital and spent a month there. If she only listened to mother.

I will walk softly in the sanctuary – The Scoutmaster’s embarrassment

The scouts went out to a camp. They then went on the hike up the mountain where they would pitch
their tents. After nightfall when everyone was asleep. The scoutmaster heard boys murmuring, he went
out in fury to their tent to discover they were praying.

I will keep a song in my heart –The Devil’s Best Tool

The devil called for an auction. He had many tools with prices on them. The most expensive was
discouragement. Satan uses this for us not to go to church and follow Christ. Jesus Christ gives us faith to
counter discouragement. Faith helps to keep a song in our hearts.

Go on God’s errand – How Jesus found out

Jesus did not know what his life’s purpose was until He was 12.He went to the Passover in Jerusalem. He
was left behind with temple teachers. He was asked questions and answered as one with wisdom. He
later spend most of His life praying and studying God’s Word. This helped Him to know what God’s
errands was for Him i.e. to die for us as a ransom for our sins.
