Figure Dimension of the PC £

IMPORTANT
Restricted by the dimension of the PC, the hindering parts (such as feet) of the PC may be
removed from the body if necessary.
Even the space is sufficient for holding the PC in depth, the size of the connectors on the
interface connector panel and the size of cable area may require more space.
Moreover, for a general-purpose PC, if DVI/VGA adapter is used, wider cable area be-
comes necessary. Thus, the dimension of the PC in this page should only be used as a
reference. The arraignment on interface connector panel and the sizes of connectors
should all be considered for detailed design.

B3.1.1 Power Cable Wiring

Perform the power cable wiring of the installed enclosed display style console-type
HIS by observing the precautions described below:

• The power cable must be wired through a conduit at the entrance of the console for
the following purposes:
To prevent the power cable from being damaged through direct contact with the
CAUTION metal plate.
To prevent an excessive load being applied to the power supply connection terminals
due to the weight of the cable itself.
• Turn off the power supply source, and be sure that no electricity is flowing into the
power cable to be connected before starting the work.
• Once the wiring is complete, turn on power to the power cable while keeping the circuit
breaker on the power distribution board to off. Check to see that power is being sup-
plied normally to the power supply connection terminals using a tester.
• Wire the power cable by keeping a minimum distance of 1 cm from other signal wiring.

● Replacing the Door Fan Fuses £
The door-fan fuses are installed in two levels:
The primary fuse—called the polyswitch, which controls excess current by increasing the
internal resistance value when excess current occurs due to a short circuit—protects the
power supply unit (S9961UK) from short circuits in the power supply cables or connectors
between the interface relay board and the secondary fuses of the door fans. If a short
circuit occurs between these two items, the resistance value of the polyswitch may change.
Moreover, in some cases power may not be supplied normally to the door fans. If a short
circuit occurs, remove the cause of the short circuit, then connect a normal part after
waiting 20 seconds.
One secondary fuse is used for each door fan in order to protect the power supply from a
short-circuited fan. The secondary fuse is located at the bottom of each door fan, which is
exposed by removing the door fan.
1. Open the rear door of the enclosed display style console-type HIS.
2. Remove the fan.
3. Hold the fuse with the fingers and pull it out.
4. Replace it with a new fuse.
Holding the fuse with the fingers, first align the pin position with the fuse socket and
then insert it.
5. Place the fan unit back into position.
6. Close the door.

HIS
The open display style console kit (hereinafter called the open display style console-
type HIS) is a user-interface unit that handles the operation and monitoring of plant
operations. It is configured with a general-purpose PC and a liquid crystal display
(LCD). Two types of operation keyboards are available: one for eight-loop simulta-
neous operation and one for single-loop operation.
The open display style console-type HIS collects the information required to monitor
the status of plant operation, including process variables, control parameters and
alarm status. This information is displayed on the LCD using trend graphs, mes-
sages, patterns and graphics, ensuring an operating environment that is easy to
control.
