ANS2:- I am interested in the topic of depression among youth due to my personal connection
to it. Firstly, as a student, I have observed a concerning rise in mental health issues among
young people. This trend has prompted me to delve deeper into the underlying reasons behind
this significant public health concern. Moreover, my interest is fueled by the experience of a
close friend who is currently battling depression and undergoing treatment with a psychiatrist.
Witnessing his struggle has motivated me to seek out effective techniques for preventing and
identifying depression among youth.

According to this article, depression among youth can stem from various factors which are
imbalances in brain chemistry and hormonal shifts, genetic predisposition, early trauma, learned
negative thinking patterns, environmental stressors like bullying or family conflicts, co-existing
mental health conditions, chronic illness, substance abuse, and discrimination.

ANS4:- An Educational Workshop can be created using this information in which interactive
session can be conducted in schools and colleges aimed at parents, teacher and caregivers to
educate them about teen depression, its sign and how to support affected teenagers.

ANS5:- As a computer programming student at Seneca I can create a interactive website
featuring quizzes, interactive tools, and resources for teens and their families
to learn about teen depression, recognize its signs, and access support
services.

ANS2:- In today's world, almost everyone is hooked on social media, including me. But using it
too much has caused some problems for me. It's made it hard for me to focus for long, and
sometime I feel really lonely, anxious, or sad because of it. Plus, I've noticed it's affecting my
schoolwork too. I end up spending way too much time on social apps instead of studying. So, I
want to learn more about how social media affects our mental health. Maybe understanding it
better can help me and others find ways to feel better and use social media in a healthier way.

anxiety, stress and loneliness due to its addictive behaviors and social comparison nature. It may lead to
