1.Introduction
1.1 Abstract

Blood Life is a mobile application designed to revolutionize the process of blood donation,
promoting a culture of regular and convenient blood donations. With a user-friendly interface
and advanced features, the app aims to bridge the gap between blood donors and recipients,
ensuring a steady and accessible supply of blood for those in need. The up-to-the-minute
Smartphones madea striking gain in higher RAM, and inferior storehouse along with the number
of extra appearances. An Android OS ordinarily used by Smartphone constructor because it is
an open space. The enclosed hardware of android phones includes many sensors present. There
are many contradistinctive appliance (apps) available for initializing from the Google play store.
Every day millenary of advanced applications is transmitted in the online database. Such
applications which are victimized in mobile-health. Many appliances determine the venue of
health clinics, healthcarecenters, and city hospitals.

1.2 Existing System and Need for System

Existing System:

1. Hospitals and Blood Donors Finding System using Android by

DR. P. Sivakumar, Professor, Department of Information Technology,Manakula Vinayagar

Institute of Technology, Pondicherry, India.

2. AN ANDROID APPLICATION FOR VOLUNTEER BLOOD DONORS by Sultan

Turhan, Department of Computer Engineering, Galatasaray University,Istanbul, Turkey.

3. BLOOD DONATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM by

Roshni More, Sonali Kubde, Pooja Ahirrao, Shreya N. Patankar

Student, Department of Computer Engineering, DMCE, Navi Mumbai, India.
Need for the Blood Rescue App:

The alive system doesn’t provide all the medical person and medical center information
in one point, if a character longing to get all the medical person details then user has to hunt on
the online network, alike for all that user can apt to get medical person information’s of any
peculiar medical center if he log on to the medical center website, however not all the feasible
medical person from various medical center, directly if you have the medical person and medical
center data then you have to hunt over to get the spot and guidance to the medical center
separately, to hunt all these information it will took a huge amount time, also this system is
hectic and abstruse. These are few of the alive android application which own for just hunting
the nearby medical center. This application gives the names of the hospital all over the city along
with the name of the medical person and their job on that place, and their educational
qualification, specialized subject of that medical person. And this appliance also takes
consultations of the medical person. This provides complete knowledge of medical person and
medical center official mail id and also sourceof contact details. There are many streams in
medical centers bestow user want to pick the medical person according to the timeslot feasible
to the user who can book the consultation by filling the consultation form only for the Apollo
hospital.

1.3 Scope for System

1. User Management:

• User registration and login functionality.

• User profiles with personal information, including blood type and location.

• User authentication and account verification.

2. Blood Donation Requests:

• Creation and posting of blood donation requests by recipients.

• Filtering and sorting of donation requests based on blood type, urgency, and location.

• Notification system to alert nearby donors about donation requests.

• Donor response and communication with the requester.

3. Donor Search and Matching:

• Search functionality for blood banks and hospitals to find suitable donors based on blood

type, location, and availability.

• Donor availability status and real-time matching with donation requests.

• Communication between blood banks/hospitals and potential donors.

1.4 Operating Environment Hardware and Software

Hardware Requirements:

• Server infrastructure to host the backend and database.

• Internet connectivity for data exchange and real-time updates.

• Mobile devices for app users (donors, recipients, blood banks, and hospitals)

with thefollowing specifications:

Android Devices: Android 6.0 Marshmallow or later.

Software Requirements:

• Mobile Application Development:

• IDE (Integrated Development Environment) such as Android Studio for Android.

• Programming languages:

• Java for Android app development.

• Frameworks and libraries for mobile app development, such as Android Jetpack

forAndroid.

• XML for frontend.

1.5 Technology Used

Front End: XML

Backend: JAVA

Database: Firebase
2. Proposed System
2.1 Feasibility Study

This study evaluated the feasibility and acceptability of a self-regulation smartphone

app for reducing prolonged sitting in people with Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). This
was a two-arm, randomised, controlled feasibility trial. The intervention group used the
MyHealthAvatar-Diabetes smartphone app for 8 weeks. The app uses a number of
behaviour change techniques aimed at reducing and breaking up sitting time. Eligibility,
recruitment, retention, and completion rates for the outcomes (sitting, standing,
stepping, and health-related measures) assessed trial feasibility. Interviews with
participants explored intervention acceptability. Participants with T2DM were
randomised to the control (n = 10) and intervention groups (n = 10). Recruitment and
retention rates were 71% and 90%, respectively. The remaining participants provided
100% of data for the study measures. The MyHealthAvatar-Diabetes app was viewed as
acceptable for reducing and breaking up sitting time. There were preliminary
improvements in the number of breaks in sitting per day, body fat %, glucose tolerance,
attitude, intention, planning, wellbeing, and positive and negative affect in favour of the
intervention group. In conclusion, the findings indicate that it would be feasible to
deliver and evaluate the efficacy of the MyHealthAvatar-Diabetes app for breaking up
sitting time and improving health outcomes in a full trial.

2.2 Objectives of the proposed system

The app's primary objective is to encourage individuals to become regular blood

donors by simplifying the donation process and providing them with essential
information and incentives. The app integrates with popular social media platforms,
enabling users to spread awareness and inspire their friends and followers to join the
cause. Voluntary donors are non-remunerated donors and donate blood voluntarily
without any inducements such as money or any other substitute of money. Such
donations are providing adequate round the clock availability during emergency and they
are the source of safe blood also. The sustainability of a safe and adequate blood supply
is still provided by volunteer blood donors.

CHAPTER 7: CONCLUSION
In conclusion, the Blood Donation App project aims to facilitate the process of blood
donationby connecting donors, recipients, blood banks, and hospitals through a user-
friendly mobile application. The app allows users to register, create and search for
donation requests, scheduleappointments, and communicate with other users.

Throughout the project, various stages were covered, including requirement analysis, system
modeling and design, implementation, testing, and quality assurance. The project scope was
defined, outlining the features and functionalities to be included in the app. The software
requirements, hardware requirements, and system specifications were identified to support the
development and deployment of the app
