Statement Of Purpose
As the digital landscape continues to evolve at a very fast pace, the role of Information
Systems has become increasingly vital in driving organizational success. It is within this
dynamic intersection of business and technology that I find my passion and purpose, and
it is with great enthusiasm that I apply for admission to the Information Systems MBA
program.
My drive for the Tech world started when I lost some painful amount of money in an
online trade, in my home country (Nigeria). It was at that very moment I saw a major
problem that was eating deep into the online trading system in my country, I thought if
only I can build a software as a solution startup to fix a pandemic in the online trading
system in my country it would be great. So, I went to an expensive boot camp to learn
full stack web development Front End and Back End, also did an internship at RonCloud
technology to help give me a work environment and experience which will help me in the
tech industry. I also built my Escrow Service during this time and will be launching this
August 2024. Information system at your institution will help me further gain the insights
and further training required to build a successful career as a software engineer. The
favorable environment for research, project work and innovative curriculum are major
reasons behind choosing your institution.
My exposure into the Tech World has made me realized that they are a lot of problem that
can be solved with the implementation of some solid understanding of Programming
Language. For example, I saw a need for a “TRCP” applications that works exactly like
Figma, would not want to go into details. Sincerely I lack the deep tech skills to build
some of this app that I already foresee, I would love your guidance and knowledge your
institution will impact in me. I do already have average skills in Javascipt, PHP, Node Js
and MySql but with your help, I believe I would get to that professional level (God level)
where I can create the impossible. Also having great problem-solving skills and its
implementation is something that a great mentorship and guidance is needed for. I also
believe my knowledge in my first degree in Economics would help me blend easily too.
My short-term goal is to secure a leadership position in Information Systems or
transitioning to a role with greater strategic impact. However, my aspirations extend
beyond mere professional advancement. Ultimately, my goal is to be able to build world
renowned start up I firmly believe that an MBA in Information Systems will provide me
with the necessary skills, knowledge, and networks to realize these ambitions.
In conclusion, I am wholeheartedly committed to pursuing an MBA in Information
Systems at CMU, I am eager to contribute to the vibrant academic community and
leverage this transformative experience to propel my career to new heights. Thank you
