No.E.243222/36 :In view of consistent demand from the Teachers Community for increasing the
period of Earned Leave to 30 days instead of 10 days and in consideration of the views of Finance
(Esstt.-A) Department, to take a policy decision on the matter, the Government of Assam in the
Department of School Education is pleased to constitute a High Level Departmental Committee with
the following members as mentioned below:
1 Mission Director, SSA Chairman.
2 Director of Secondary Education, Assam Convenor cum Member
Secretary
3 Sr.FA, School Education Department Technical Member
02 numbers to be nominated by the Chairman Member
4 Inspector of Schools
02 numbers to be nominated by the Chairman Invitee member
5 Academicians
The High Level Departmental Committee shall examine the demand raised by the Teachers
fraternity to raise the period as stated above. The Committee shall compare the claim with other
cadres and inter state cadres and shall consider the views of the Associations as well as the linked
services and functions of the Schools including the gender Leave admissible. The academic interest
of the State shall be the supreme factor while considering the entire matter. The High Level
Departmental Committee is expected to submit the Report after the conclusion of the MCC/ HPC
Election-2024 period.
