BRIEF HISTORY OF DRUGS

*Humans have used various types of drugs and other intoxicating substances.
*Wine is consumed dating back to the Early Egyptians: narcotics was used by as early as 4000
B.C and the use of Marijuana in China for Medicinal purposes.

EXPLAINATION:
It is known to us that human beings usually consumes different drugs or intoxicating drugs
number 1 is Liquour, marijuana or cocaine before they have the opium and other ancient form
of drugs. But the most common used here is the beverages such as liquor, tobacco and so on.
All of these are considered as a substance that has a potential for abuse. Dependi ug unsaon
nimu nig gamit. Or level of consumption kunbaga (unsa ka daghan imu gamiton).
(Fermentation, gikan sa tanom)
2. They have a lot of history when it comes to drug consumption, there was even a case where
the use of opium, heroin, and morphine was considered socially acceptable because the
common purpose for the creation of these different drugs are for the purpose of medicine
(makatambal). But because of their high potential for abuses that’s where addiction begins. If
we’re going to look back in history may instances wherein soldiers during the world war has
been using morphine shots, as anesthetics especially when they are far from the hospitals and
they are wounded, Ang morphine has depressants effects, meaning maka pa numb sa affected
area, so maka feel silag relaxation when one is using it. American Civil War vast numbers of
American soldiers become addicted to the drug so much that morphine addiction become
known as “Soldiers Disease”. (Soldiers after war got morphine addiction)

3. DEVELOPMENT OF THE DRUG PROBLEM

*Discovery
*Consumption
*Mass adoption
*Addiction
*Regulation and Control

EXPLAINATION:
1. DISCOVERY The drug problem usually originated in the following cycle first Discover wherein the
drug particles or elements comes from a product raw materials that we already have. For example the
opium poppy is a type of plant a derivative of narcotic drug opium, such as codein, heroin , morphine
and other drugs were derives. Nag gikan sija sa usa ka raw material which is usually a plant (tanom) and
they will discover something out of it. After they discover the important elements atong mga tanoma
they will start to desynthesized the chemicals na makuha inato nga product para maka himu sila ug
unlimited na drugs without relying on the scarcity of the raw materials that they have.
So the process of discovery is usually start wherein a simple innocent plant is being studied upon
until they will discover active ingredients or psychoactive ingredients that has a tendency for medicinal
purposes.
2. CONSUMPTION - After discovering different plants that has a tendency for medicinal purposes next
will be the Consumption wherein people will try to take or consume those types drugs thereby
discovering also the effects of such drugs towards the system of a person.
3. Mass Adoption- mu daghan na ang taw na mu consume sa drugs because na experienced nila ang
effect of naa silay nakit.an nga ni gamit nga nay maajug effect so ma sundog sa laing taw. (For example
morphine mura nakag superman kay dinaka masakitan mao maka gamit pod and uban)
4. Addiction – (example soldiers desease)
5. Regulation and Control –they saw the potential of abuse that’s why they come up with a law and
regulations and prohibitions with consumption of those dangerous drugs. (Regulate and control)

other motivation for drug use except from the listed ones.

movements. They wanted to enjoy their life for a moment.

eg shabu, cocaine. (keep up with jobs call center agents)

to do. (Be selective with your friends)
