1. Haptics - study of conveying message w/ the use of touch
ex. tapping someone's back - encouragement
2. Kinesics - using body movement/language to convey a message
3. Oculesics - movement of eyes/eyebrows
4. Proxemics - use distance to convey a message
5. Vocalics- refers to the use of variety of voices.
6. Chronemics- refers to the use of time.
7. Oltactics - refers to the use of smell.

DISTANCES
• Intimate Distance - 0-18 inch ex. romantic relationship
• Personal Distance - talking to a acquintance, family members or friends
• Social Distance - distance between stranges
• Public Distance - distance to public

Intrapersonal - communication to self
Interpersonal - exchange of message, ideas to others - involves two person
