Mock Recall Program
Mock Recall Announcement: Notify relevant staff that a mock recall is taking place.
Treat the simulation as if it were a real recall to test the effectiveness of established
procedures.
Product Identification and Traceability
Product Selection: Choose a specific product, batch, or lot that represents a
high-risk category, such as pre-packaged goods.
Traceability: The Inventory Manager uses the storage inventory system to trace
the affected product from the receiving stage to its current stock.
Supplier Information: The Purchasing Department contacts the supplier to
verify the batch/lot numbers and checks if the affected product was distributed to
other stores.
Product Removal
Stock Removal: All affected products are immediately pulled from the shelves,
storage areas, and display cases.
Isolation: The affected products are moved to a designated quarantine area
within the store to prevent accidental sale.
Documentation: Keep records of the removed items, including product name,
batch/lot number, and the quantity removed.
Product Disposal or Return to Supplier
Return or Disposal: Determine whether recalled products would be returned to
the supplier or disposed of. Simulate the necessary procedures for either action.
Documentation: Maintain records of the disposal or return of affected products,
ensuring full traceability.
