form, making the universe transparent to light.
Formation of Galaxies and Stars
First stars (200 million years after Big Bang): Known as Population III stars, they were
massive and short-lived.
Galaxy formation: Small galaxies merged to form larger ones, including the Milky Way.

MOVIES
MY SISTER’S KEEPER
"My Sister's Keeper" is a deeply moving
film that tackles challenging themes
such as illness, family, and medical
ethics. I find it offers an honest and
emotional look at the complexities of
making tough decisions in extreme
situations.
‘Patch Adams’
The movie begins with Hunter "Patch" Adams admitting himself to a psychiatric hospital following a suicide attempt.
While there, he discovers that helping others gives him a sense of purpose and decides to become a doctor. Patch
leaves the hospital and enrolls in the Medical College of Virginia.
At the university, Patch clashes with the traditional medical system that focuses more on diseases than on patients.
Despite criticism and challenges, especially from the strict Dean Walcott, Patch champions the importance of laughter
and human connection as essential components of medical treatment.
Together with other medical students, Patch starts a free clinic in an old house, where he practices his holistic approach
to medicine. He faces numerous difficulties and opposition but continues to believe in the healing power of humor.
Patch's life takes a tragic turn when his friend and colleague, Carin Fisher, is murdered by a mentally unstable patient
she was trying to help. This tragedy nearly causes Patch to abandon his ideals and career, but he ultimately finds the
strength to continue.
The film culminates with Patch graduating from medical school and advocating for reform in the healthcare system
during his graduation speech, insisting that medicine should focus on the emotional and physical well-being of patients.
Personal opinion:
It is a very moving film that not only entertains but also invites
reflection on how we can make our professions, especially in the
field of healthcare, more humane and compassionate when dealing
with people who have families that care about them. Robin
Williams' performance and the central message of the film leave a
lasting impression on the viewer.

coronavirus
In an unprepared world, a new virus emerges from the shadows, unleashing a global pandemic. The coronavirus
disease, known as COVID-19, becomes the protagonist of a movie no one expected to star in. From the bustling
streets of cities to the most remote corners of the planet, the virus spreads mercilessly, challenging the limits
of science and human resilience.
The plot unfolds with unexpected twists, from the initial uncertainty to the frantic search for a cure. The
heroes of this story are the healthcare workers, fighting on the front lines against an invisible enemy.
Meanwhile, governments and world leaders face tough decisions in a desperate attempt to contain the spread
and save lives.
Tension mounts as cases multiply and healthcare systems become overwhelmed. Fear and despair grip the
population, while hope becomes a scarce commodity. However, amid the darkness, acts of solidarity and
bravery emerge, reminding us of the strength of the human spirit in the face of adversity.
Finally, after months of struggle, the turning point arrives with the development of vaccines that offer a light
at the end of the tunnel. The film culminates with a message of resilience and unity, reminding us that
although we face monumental challenges, together we can overcome any obstacle on our path to a safer and
more hopeful future.
Personal opinion:
The pandemic is a serious matter that requires caution and adherence to public health guidelines. As a
medical student, it is natural to be concerned about the safety of yourself and others. You might be interested
in staying informed and taking measures to protect the health of your community.
HEART DISEASES
Heart diseases include conditions such as
coronary artery disease and heart failure. To
prevent them, it's crucial to maintain a healthy
weight, exercise regularly, follow a balanced diet
low in saturated fats and cholesterol, avoid
smoking, limit alcohol consumption, and control
blood pressure and blood sugar. Regular medical
check-ups are important for detecting and
treating any cardiovascular issues early on.
