Intramurals is the significant event in student’s life.
Every year, our school Laureano Salusod National
High School it’s annual Intramurals in which all the students were grouped into six teams. Each team
will have representative in each sporting events. This yearly activity is exciting for the students because
they will have break on studying focus on sports even just for 2 days. This year, the Intramurals was held
on October 22,23. When the day of the Intramurals came, the students and faculty of the school gather
at the Gymnasium area for the parade that followed by the welcome address of school principal. the
opening remarks of Mrs.Julieto Sebuco the volleyball coach that has achievements of fighting for
regional meet since last 2023. That was excellent speech, but it would be a lot better if we were on
some kind of shade for the day is extremely hot and we don’t have anything to cover. And the afternoon
activity, which is the Literary Competition was so good.The first day end up with success. We can say the
second day Intramurals was truly good.
The students were enjoyed in some events and activities. We also joined in some events. We are glad
and thankful to see all the students was enjoyed. We do all our biggest responsibility to the 2 days
activities with all the students athlete. This year Intramurals was the most unforgettable event that we
could say that we will treasure in our life. The final battle against all the team in our school was became
successful and I salute to my fellow ABM students and others. They’ve done a good job ! The most
unforgettable event we saw was the Mr and Mrs intramurals where all the students of Junior high and
Senior high in the school was competing each other to win the Mr and Mrs intramurals that lead by each
good mentors. We saw all the best candidates and they give their best shot to win the crown. I saw the
eagerness of each candidates to win. When they are performing in the stage, the crowd was shouting to
their different grade levels showing the support. We are amazed that all the students from different
grade levels were very happy and we notice that they are all enjoying watching the Mr and Mrs
intramurals. But, we are thankful for the three judges. The final result was being completed.
The winner was the grade 10 candidates for the Mr. Intramurals and for the Mrs. Intramurals is grade 11
candidates. We are so grateful that the efforts we have and prepared from our good teacher was not
wasted. As we observed be open to all types of personalities which is the team were consist of different
levels. Especially, in sports activities , an Intramurals team can be made up of friends but other times a
team can accept people of different age groups and background. Some players can get very emotional or
frustrated when things get worse. Some people maybe shy and soft-spoken and others may be self-
assertive. Being on an Intramurals team teaches you have to deal with clashing behaviors and apply
teamwork.
During the second day of event, In some sports, we observe the players was so very competitive they
did not want to get lost or defeat. But, there are only a few rules to follow. There’s no point in cheating
your way to the top and hurts some players for you to to be on top. Your actions not affect you, but also
to your teammates. In the end of the sport activities, sportsmanship is the name of game. If a players
turn and misses, Show some moral support. If the opposing teammates and play, a small clap means a
lot by each team. Recognizing your team and sending seasonal greetings is always a nice gesture and
acceptance for everyone. It’s good having an Intramurals annually, we enjoyed watching different
activities and see the extravagant hidden talents of our classmates, schoolmates. It is more of the most
awaited event of the Intramurals wherein different students to their different grade levels really prepare
to bring home the victory.
Last day, this occasion is not only to show how are individual perform as a player but also how they work
as a teams, sportsmanship, discipline and how mature they are as a person. After 2 days of battling for
the awards It came down to the awarding ceremony during the flag raising ceremony as for the overall
tally, The overall champion was conquered by Grade 11 senior conquerer team. This Intramurals which
is annually conducted by the school shows gives the extravagant joy and involvement of the students
who are talented in a particular category, conducting this kind of activity is really a great help for the
students to build their confidence, show their hidden talents and learn the values in sports
Sportsmanship, camarederie,companionship, and solidarity. Last, overall , the activity had been very
tiring yet a memorable day.
