I have always been interested in mathematics for long as I remember.
In school, I have
always excelled in mathematics and always scored very high in them. I have participated in
various Olympiads and won various prizes. During my middle school I also started getting
interested in programming and computer science. I also learnt Python(a popular programming
language) during my high school years. Solving mathematical and programming problems
challenges my mind and engages me.
Academically, I have always excelled in these subjects. I learnt many concept of mathematics
like coordinate geometry, calculus, algebra etc during my high school years and learned to
apply them. This improved my problem solving skills, and built my mathematical intuition.
As I naturally had an aptitude for computer science and mathematics, I scored 95% in both
the subjects in 12th boards and graduated overall with 93%.
As I had interest in both in mathematics and computing this led to me pursue a Bachelors in
Technology in Mathematics and Computing in NIT Warangal. In my college years, I refined
my knowledge in mathematics and dived into various topics of programming like algorithms,
data structures, operating systems. I also improved my communication skills and my
leadership skills. I helped to organize various events like hackathons, seminars, workshops
etc.
However, during the end of my 4 years, I faced a choice. I could either sit for placement or
pursue a master. I decided to pursue masters as I wanted to gain a deeper understanding of
mathematics and computer science. Having a masters degree from a top university would also
help later in the professional world.
I decided that I would like to purse my masters in Germany. Though, there would be a
language barrier, they have some of the top universities in the world and also offer a lot of
scholarships. I started going through various universities when I came across XYZ university.
It was ranked top 50 in the world. I consulted various people and decided that XYZ
university would be the best place for me. They taught cutting edge technology like quantum
computing, machine learning etc and their mathematics department was one of the most
lauded in the world. These facts influenced me highly and I finalised my decision.
With a masters in Mathematics and Computing from XYZ, I’m sure I would excel in
professional world and in research also(wherever my interest lies). The skills and knowledge
I would gain in that university would help elevate my resume. I would gain valuable
experience by working alongside the professors in this university and they would also be able
to guide me further.
I’m very eager to join such a prestigious university. Thank you for taking the time to review
