HOSE CARE & MAINTENANCE

 Hose Should be stored in cool, dry, clean and well ventilated storage area.

 Once the hose is used, it must be dried completely. It must also be checked for any cuts on the external surface.

 In case the hose has got in contact with oil or chemical, it must be washed thoroughly with detergent soap and them
dried completely before storing.

 Hose must be tested at a pressure of 50% in excess of the intended working pressure or at 10.5kg/cm2, whichever is
greater. The test must be conducted at least once in six months. Hose with small leaks should be repaired, wherever
possible. Hose with excessive leaks should be removed from service.

 While in use, avoid dragging hose over sharp objects or abrasive surfaces.

 Avoid hose kinks as much as possible.

 During operation, all necessary precautions must be taken to make sure that the hose does not get in direct contact
with hot surface or flame.

 While in operation, hose ramps should be used to avoid vehicles running over the hose.

 Hose should be coiled loosely enough to avoid any cracking on the edge of the hose.
