Exercise 5

Hey Jame,

Hope you're doing well! I have to tell you about the school concert—it was incredible, and something
totally unexpected happened.

I’d been practicing non-stop for weeks, going over my song a hundred times until I knew every note.
We had a few rehearsals as a group, and everyone seemed ready. The big day came, and I was both
excited and nervous.

Then, during the concert, the lights went out! We were right in the middle of a song, and suddenly
we were in complete darkness. At first, everyone froze, but then the audience started clapping, and
we all continued singing till the end. It actually turned out pretty amazing—people said it added
drama to the performance!

Afterward, everyone was talking about it. We celebrated with pizza, and even our music teacher said
it was a concert to remember. Wish you could’ve been there!

Catch up soon,

Klaus

Report on Careers Day

Our recent visit to the career’s day provided valuable insights and gave us a chance to explore
different career paths. Many of us appreciated how friendly and approachable the representatives
were; they made it easy for us to ask questions and learn about various roles in detail. I personally
found it helpful to hear firsthand experiences and practical advice from professionals in different
fields.

However, some areas could be improved to make next year’s event even more beneficial. For
example, while it was useful to have multiple career options presented, many of the jobs felt quite
similar. Including a wider range of industries, such as technology, arts, and sciences, might give
students a broader view of career possibilities. Additionally, one day felt a bit too short to fully
explore each career. Extending the event to two days or offering more structured sessions would
allow us to delve deeper into each profession.

Overall, the careers day was a positive experience, and with a few changes, it could be even more
informative for future students.
