Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to lead and manage teams in diverse

owner of Markette Services, a business dedicated to providing top-notch cleaning services to
commercial buildings, I have been directly involved in hiring, training, and overseeing a
dedicated team. My responsibilities include setting clear expectations, monitoring
performance, and ensuring a high standard of service delivery. Notably, I employ a

Owning and operating Markette Services has given me a comprehensive understanding of
running a successful business. My responsibilities encompass various tasks, from strategic
planning and marketing to financial management and customer service. A significant part of
my role involves people management, where I have applied my skills in hiring, training, and
leading a team to ensure we deliver exceptional service to our clients. This experience has
been instrumental in developing my ability to manage resources efficiently, make informed
decisions, and drive business growth. In managing finances at Markette Services, I
implemented rigorous budgeting practices and regularly monitored cash flow to ensure
financial stability. Additionally, I utilized forecasting techniques to anticipate market trends
and make strategic investment decisions. Moreover, I have developed comprehensive
programs tailored to employee training needs, emphasizing skill development and fostering a

If selected to own and operate a Delivery Service Partner, my primary personal goal would be
to build a thriving business that meets and exceeds expectations regarding service delivery
and customer satisfaction. I aim to leverage my experience in team management and
operations to establish a high-performing, efficient delivery service. On the business front,
my goals would be to foster a company culture of excellence, integrity, and continuous
improvement. I would focus on scaling the business sustainably while maintaining high
service standards. Additionally, I would seek to create opportunities for team development
and growth, recognizing and rewarding excellence within the team.
What three words would you use to describe the culture you would foster at your
company?
The three words that would epitomize the culture at my company are Integrity,
Empowerment, and Innovation.
1. Integrity- We will operate with honesty and transparency in every aspect of our
operations, from how we treat our employees and customers to our dealings with
partners and the community. This foundational value is crucial for building trust and
credibility.
2. Empowerment- I believe in empowering my team through training, support, and
opportunities for growth. This enables them to make decisions confidently and
contribute their best to our success.
3. Innovation- In a rapidly evolving industry, encouraging a culture of innovation will
keep us ahead of the curve. This means being open to new ideas, technologies and
approaches to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Please describe your leadership style.
My leadership style is participative, strongly emphasizing coaching and development. I
believe in leading by example, setting clear goals, and providing the support and resources
my team needs to achieve them. I value open communication, encourage feedback, and see
challenges as opportunities for growth and learning. My military and business experiences
have taught me the importance of adaptability, resilience, and the power of a motivated team
working towards a common goal.
Please list and briefly describe your current involvement in the community
I am actively involved in local community initiatives through Markette Services, where we
participate in community clean-up programs and offer our services at reduced rates to
community centers and non-profit organizations. Additionally, I am a part of the WNBA
franchise Atlanta Dream. We have local clinics throughout Atlanta at local elementary and
middle schools for young ladies teaching the game of basketball and empowerment.
Moreover, I participate in charity events supporting veterans. Importantly, I dedicate
approximately 10-15 hours per month to community involvement because I believe in giving
back and participating actively in creating positive change. These activities testify to my
commitment to giving back to the community and leveraging my resources to make a positive
impact. Leveraging my community involvement as a recruiting tactic, I would emphasize my
commitment to social responsibility and teamwork, showcasing how these values align with
the organization’s culture and highlighting the diverse skills and perspectives gained through
community engagement.

I maintain an open and transparent approach regarding my history, believing every
