children.
III. BACKGROUND OF THECASE
A. Client
Dailyn Fernandez is thirty seven (37) years old. She has been married to Richard for seventeen (17)
years. Dailyn only finished elementary school and that is why she cannot find a stable job. Dailyn
has short hair (shoulder level), white skin colored and has an ectomorph body type. According to
her, she weighs 52 kilograms and has a height of 4 '1 feet. Furthermore, Dialyn lives before her
marriage at Catadman, Ozamiz City. She was living there with her parents. And at the age of fifteen
(15),she started dating. She later found out that she was pregnant but the father of herchild did not
take the responsibility. So she ended up being a single mother until she met Richard, who became
her husband. Due to negligence and a youthful mind, Dailyn did not take care of her first child. The
child was allegedly diagnosed to have dengue fever. And by the age of four(4), her child passes
away. And bythe age of twenty(20), Dailyn started to become pregnant with her first child, which is
Jocelyn.
B. Family
Theclient has six(6)children and that theybelong toan extended family. Thefamilyofherhusband
lives together with them which includes the brothers of herhusband. The client’ s children are 16,
13,11, 9,6, and 2 years old. Only two of her children went to school, and that is Jocelyn and Jonalyn
who are currently in Grade-8 level. One of her children who is six(6) has a medical condition and
that is the continued growth of his scrotum. According to them, it has occured at the age of one(1).
And it grows bigger when his age increases. Also, they did nothing or check up on the doctor
becausetheysaid theydidn't haveenoughmoney to paythebills.
Furthermore, in August 2023, her husband got fired from his job as a security guard at MOELCI II,
because he went on duties not on time. This makes their life more complicated because theyhave
torun awayfrom debt. Theyended up in the residenceof get fatherat Catadman,Ozamiz City. They
stayed two(2) months there. And in November 2023, her husband was employed at Bryant Milling
and Marketing as a securityguard. And untilnow herhusband works there.
C. COMMUNITY
The client lived in a peaceful and small community. Their house was built with bamboo, nipa and
wood. They have television but according to the client, it is already broken. They have access to
electricity and water and in paying the electricity bills, they pay 100 to 150 pesos every month and
with the water, they use 20 cubic meters in which, in their area everycubic meter is equivalent to 20
pesos so they paid 400 or more pesos monthly. In the Barangay, the client and her family were
active members. Theyparticipate in monthlyactivities likegeneral cleaning and generalmeetings.
IV. ASSESSMENT
This is a case of a mother who need a financial assistance or any other resources that available that can
help her to sustain the needs of her family speciallyfor the education of her children because the salary of
her husband is not enough for their daily needs. The client is facing a financial crisis and hoping to receive
a financial help from the CSWD to help her to provide the needs of herchildren like foods, vitamins because
I observe the children of this client is not in the good health because two of the children of this client is
suffering malnutritionbut theclient said that her children is undermonitoring ofthe BHW.
Theclient hopes that shecan find a job, shemention that even a dishwasher because she is willing to enter
that job, so that she can provide for her children and also she can help her husband . I can see to her eyes
that she is a strong mother and a understandable wife.Despite of the situation, the client is always
motivated that one day she can find a job which can help her to the education of her children and she
motivatealways that herchildren can finish school even inthe hardest time.
