Minutes of the Second Meeting of the School Governing Council Officers of
TNHS Held at the Conference Room last April 20, 2023 at nine o’clock in
the morning.
The meeting started with a prayer led by Mr. Rofel T. Torrefranca
and was followed by an opening remarks of Ms. Loreza Cañon, ASP II.
Mr.Cornelio Baviera checked the roll with the following members present:

The meeting proper was resided by SB Adrian Camposagrado,
elected co-chairperson and tackled the following topics
Topic 1: School Uniform of Students
Type A – Prescribed uniform for regular students and for
Special Program STE, SPA, SPJ, SPS
Type B – White t-shirt with logo and maong pants
Friday – Free Day
Resolution 001 – Wearing of School Uniform. Kristel Ann
Okuno, moved that the resolution 001 for wearing the school uniform
be approved. This was seconded by Mrs. Joy Virola.
Topic 2: Students who are Cutting Classes and Frequent
Absenteeism
Frequent Absenteeism: due to lack of learners enthusiasm on
part of learners.
3 – Late is equivalent to 1 absent (3 consecutive late) to
Call the attention of parents.
Identify Students on SARDO and refer to SARDO
intervention
Habitual Tardiness & Absenteeism
Resolution 002 – To identify students who are always absent
and refer them to SARDO intervention. Mrs. Vina Marie Gellangarin
moved that the resolution 002 to identify students who are subject
for SARDO intervention be approved. The motion was seconded by
Mr. Jean Teope.
Topic 3: Using Facebook page as an Alternative platform to
disseminate information
Resolution 003 – Use of Facebook page to Information
Dissemination. It was moved by Mrs. Donna Jo Tulayba and
seconded by Mrs. Annie Teves that resolution 003, to use Facebook
pages as an alternative platform to disseminate information be
approved.
Topic 4: Presence of Gangs among TNHS Students
Resolution 004: Identifying Students who are members of
gangs and divert their attention to other activities like sports, etc. It
was moved by Mr. Dante Villanueva and seconded by Cornelio
Baviera that the resolution on Gang identification and diverting
member student’s interest on sports and relevant activities be
approved.
Topic 5: Maintenance of Proper Haircut for Boys
Resolution 005 – To maintain proper haircut for boys for good
grooming. A resolution to encourage students for good grooming be
approved. This was moved by Jean Teope Jr. and seconded by Lorna
Gasolasco.
Topic 6: Teenage Pregnancy
Resolution 006 – To prevent teenage pregnancy by
Identifying factors causing teenage pregnancy
Subjecting boys forum on responsible boys talk
Partner with ERPAT
Kristel Okuno moved that a resolution to prevent teenage
pregnancy be approved and was seconded by Ms. Loreza
Cañon.
Topic 7: Anti-Smoking
Resolution 007 – To encourage LGU to pass a municipal
ordinance on anti-smoking within 1km radius from the school
and implement it. It was moved by Rhodora Tañagras and
seconded by Lorna Gasolasco that the resolution to encourage
LGU to pass a municipal ordinance on anti-smoking within
1km radius from school be implemented.

Action Plan
Mrs. Annie C Teves said that in order be guided with the
different programs and activities of the council, an action plan shall
be crafted.
With the deliberation of the members of the council including
the presence of the DRRM and GAD Coordinators, the following
activities are aligned and included in the action plan.
1. Call meetings to create a venue for its decision – making
process.
2. Reorganize members of School Governance Council.
3. Orient the council of their roles and responsibilities as
members and officers of the Council.
4. Induct the members of the council.
5. Pass recommendations to the School Head regarding
concerns, policies, programs.
6. Organize meetings with different school stakeholders to
harmonize proposed and existing programs, projects,
and activities.
7. Recommend to the LSB about the following:
a. Special program in Journalism Equipment
b. Inclusive Education
c. Fencing the campus
8. Organize/conduct program for the following:
For learners
a. Child Protection
b. Gender and Development
c. Mental Health
d. Monthly Mass
9. Craft resolution on access to information (school data
and LIS)
10. SGC’s Action Plan on promoting access to
information Advocacy plan on the school’s use of the
Transparency Board and others
11. Conduct Photo Documentation of the transparency
/ bulletin board
Mr. Cornelio T. Baviera presented that there are areas in
the campus ad oval that needs action.
Mrs. Joy S. Virola helped that the GAD-related activities
of the council are aligned in their teams’ plans and
activities advocate the rights despite their gender.
Miss Loreza T. Caňon, presented the data from the
English, Filipino and Math Coordinators. Based on it, the
SCH recommended to intensify the remediation
program.
Attached is the action plan which was moved for
approval by Mr. Adrian S. Camposagrado and seconded
by Mr. Dante Villanueva
Having no other matters to discuss the meeting was
unanimously adjourned at 4:30 PM.
