FCU-WiFi User manual

1. System installation
FCU- WiFi power supply: Plug adapter in the 230VAC/50Hz wall outlet. Connect adapter cable to the
FCU- WiFi power supply connector. POWER LED will light up if the device is successfully connected to the
power supply.

Connecting a communication link: Connect the FCU-WiFi communication cable to the “SERIALE“
connector of the pellet stove controller.

2. WiFi network settings


In order to monitor and control your pellet stove using the FCU-WiFi device, FCU-WiFi needs to be
connected to a WiFi network with permanent internet access.
If the device is unable to connect to a pre-set network, the device's configuration mode will be
activated.
In the configuration mode of the device, STATUS LED will be blinking.

In the configuration mode, FCU-WiFi will open its own wireless network (WiFi Access Point), which can
be accessed via a mobile phone or laptop.

In order to set up the connection to the desired WiFi network with the internet access, you need to:
1. Use your mobile phone or laptop to connect to a wireless network FCU-WiFi device that has the
name FCU01_SN (SN is the serial number of the device, eg 0100001).
2. If the configuration page does not open automatically after connecting, you need to open the
http://10.0.1.1 address in your browser (such as Google Chrome), which opens the
configuration page.
3. In the configuration page, select the Configure Wifi option. After a few seconds, a list of
available wireless networks will open.
4. Select the desired network from the list of available wireless networks and enter the network
access code.
5. If the device is successfully connected to the selected network, the STATUS LED will become
continuously lighten up and the FCU-WiFi is ready for regular operation.

3. Guide for the Android / iOS application


You can download the app from the PlayStore or AppStore, depending on the type of mobile phone you
have.
For the proper operation, it is necessary to have mobile phone connected to the Internet.
When you launch application for the first time, FCU-WiFi device sign-in screen will open. Enter the
requested data in the displayed fields.
User login page will open at this point. If you do not have a user account yet, you will need to create it
now.

Pressing REGISTER button will open a page for creating a new user account. You need to enter the
following parameters:

• Name: Name of the user


• Surname: Surname of the user
• Username: Preferred username
• Password: The desired password for the user account
• Repeat password: Repeat the password
• Email: email address of the user

Please press OK button to confirm creation of a new user account. After successfully registration, please
login with your username and password.

4. Pellet stove control


The stove control window allows:
• Setting desired water temperature setpoint,
• Setting desired stove power,
• Turning the stove on and off and
• Inspecting the alarms.

Set desired water temperature setpoint by moving the TEMP slider and pressing the SET button next to
it.

Set desired stove power by selecting one of five power from the POWER drop-down menu and pressing
the SET button next to it.

Turning the stove on / off is done by moving the slider ON / OFF to the desired position and then
pressing the ON / OFF button, depending on the selected action. If the stove is in a clean state
(CLEANING FINAL) it is not possible to switch on / off the stove until the process is completed. In that
case, the slider will be blocked and the CLEANING text will be printed on the button.

Below the control, the last recorded status of the stove is displayed. The following information is in the
status:

• Time of the last status reception


• Current water temperature
• Current stove power level
• Stove status (ON / OFF / CLEANNING)
• Below the status there is a button to check the alarm. If one of the alarms on the button is
active, the text ALARM ACTIVE will appear.
