Log in to and Navigate the SSMC

Lesson 4 Lab 1

Objectives
In this lab, you will log in to HPE vLabs and then SSMC to configure a new user to manage a single HPE 3PAR array. After
completing this lab, you should be able to:
 Log in to HPE vLabs
 Log in to the preinstalled SSMC
 Navigate the SSMC

Introduction
SSMC has been preinstalled with super-user 3paradm (password 3pardata) and access to multiple simulated HPE 3PAR
arrays in various configurations of a large enterprise.
You will create a new user, hk903aae, with access to a single HPE 3PAR array for use during the lab exercises.
This simplifies the displayed output and lab procedures.
At the completion of the course, you are free to “play around” and manage the wider enterprise!
The lab setup has a fail-safe setup that will restore SSMC to the initial “new course start” status on reboot of the Windows
system.
The normal procedure is simply to log out of the Windows system. In the first part of the lab you will configure SSMC, and in
the second part of the lab you will learn to navigate SSMC.
As you go through the lab, remember the following:
Read and perform all the lab steps because some depend on work performed earlier.
