Work at home = remote working = teleworking
In a mordern world with numorous technological advances, many people have more option to work from
home rather than going to the office. For my perspective, working remotely has both advantages and
disavantages.
On the one hand, remote working brings several benefits. First, it saves both employees and companies
money. Remote workers have to pay less for parking, gas, or vehicle maintenance because they can avoid
long commute to work. At the same time, companies can reduce costs of office rent and utilities. Second,
workers enjoy greater flexibility when they work at home. Instead of sticking to fixed working hours, they
can work when they feel most creative and focused. During breaks, they might even manage to do some
excercises or play with their kids. This not only makes them healthier but also improves their
productivity.
On the other hand, there are certain drawbacks of working at home. One is the lack of interaction
between colleagues, they can only communicate via instant messages, virtual meetings, or emails, not
face to face. This can lead to low quality of teamwork and even misunderstanding among members.
Another disadvantage is the lack of supervision. As worker are sitting at their own personal space
without their superiors walking by, their might fail to comply with the company rules. For instance, they
do not work enough hours per day or shift their attention to social media instead of working. They are
also easily distracted by the surroundings such as noise from neighbors or their kid’s cries. As a results,
their work performance is negatively affected.
In conclusions, while teleworking allows people to save money and have more fexibility, it might also
cause poor work performance due to a lack of interaction and supervision.

Because of the mordern technology, many people do most their work at home instead of at an office.
There are both advantages and disadvantages to this situation. Working at home is very convenient for
the employees. However, it makes supervision of work and collaborating with co-worker more difficult.
The main advantages of working at home is convenience for the employee. A person who works at home
does not have to get up early to get dressed and ready for work. The person does not have to speand
time travelling between home and office. This means the employee has more time to pay attention to
home and family as well as having more energy to devote to work.
On the other hand, there are several disadvantages for the employer. An important one is supervision. It
is much more difficult for a supervisor to manage the work of several employees if each one is working in
a different place. It is hard for the supervisor to provide support and to make sure that each employee is
actually working during work hours.
It is also difficult for co-worker to collaborate on projects if each member is working at home. When co-
workers are living in different places, then formal meetings are difficult to schedule and informal
meetings become impossible. This can have a major effect on the quality of the work. It also make
difficult for the empoyer to form work teams and organize projects.
There is a current trend toward working at home. These days, more and more people are doing it. There
are certainly advantages to following this trend, but there are also disadvantages. Each employer has to
take several things into consideration before deciding if allowing employees to work at home is the best
plan for the company.

Dear ms Wilson,
I am Mai from the Sale Department. Regarding the guest we are welcoming next week, I have a few
suggestions. First, I think we should organize a trip for both guest and our staff to tour around the Old
Quarter. We can do that at nighttime as the place is much more vibrant and interesting then. Second, it
might be a good idea to take them to a few museums, and then some good eateries in the aria.
As my brother owns a restaurant downtown which is famous for traditional dishes, I am willing to take
our guests there. I believe I can also get us a big discount.
