B. Lesson Proper *Presentation of the lesson
3. Explore The teacher will discuss
about physical fitness and
exercise
:Physical fitness is defined as
the ability to perform
physical activity and is
comprised of five main
components:
cardiorespiratory
endurance, muscular
strength, muscular
endurance, body
composition, and flexibility.
:While exercise is a subset of
physical activity that is
planned, structured, and
repetitive and has as a final
or an intermediate objective
the improvement or
maintenance of physical
fitness.
: So exercise have intensity,
Exercise intensity refers to
how hard your body is
working during physical
activity. Your health and
fitness goals, as well as your
current level of fitness, will
determine your ideal
exercise intensity. Exercise
intensity is described as low,
moderate, or vigorous.
: There are five (5)
components of physical
fitness which is the Body
Composition, Flexibility,
Mascular Strength,
Mascular Endurance and
lastly, Cardiovascular
Endurance
1. Body Composition
is the percentage of a body's
weight that is fat tissue.
Body composition is the
body's amount of fat relative
to fat-free mass. Individuals
with optimal body
composition are typically
healthier, move more easily
and efficiently, and generally
feel better.
Examples are: Push ups,
Plank and Squat
2. Flexibility
the ability of muscles, joints,
and soft tissues to move
through an unrestricted,
pain-free range of motion. It
involves the capacity of these
structures to stretch,
lengthen, and contract
without limitations, allowing
for smooth and efficient
movement.
Examples are: Lunges,
cobra stretch, neck stretch
and other kinds of stretch
3. Mascular Strength
is the amount of force you
can put out or the amount of
weight you can lift.
Muscular endurance is how
many times you can move
that weight without getting
exhausted.
Examples are: Jumping
Jack, Weightlifting, and
Abdominal Crunch
4. Mascular Endurance
the ability of a given muscle
to exert force against a load,
consistently and
repetitively , over a period of
time. Exerting force is also
known as a contraction.
Muscular endurance plays a
big role in many athletic
endeavors.
Examples are: Pull-ups,
swimming, and sit ups
5. Cardiovascular
Endurance
or aerobic fitness, is how
well your heart and lungs
can supply the oxygen you
need while you exercise at
medium to high intensity. If
you have good
: Sir, Yoga
cardiovascular endurance,
you can exercise at medium : Climbing
intensity for a long time (and
high intensity for a while) : Aerobic Exercises
before it makes you tired.
: Biking
Examples are: Dance, Squat
jumps, and aerobics
:cite other example of
exercises, except from the
pictures that shown earlier.
Any one from the class?
4. Explain *Group Activity
The class will be divided into
5 groups, with each group
choosing one physical
exercise to perform in our
class.
5. Elaborate • Why is physical exercise (Students will give their
essential for our body? answers)
• How does physical exercise
impact mental well-being?
6. Evaluate *Evaluation
Now, go to your designated
groups, each group will have
to perform the correct form
of exercise they have chosen.
The group/s will perform the
correct form and techniques
will get the 10 points which
is the highest score. The
following Criteria will rate
you based on your
performance.
7. Extend *Task
Assignment:
Answer the following
questions:
1. How did you feel after
performing the exercise?
2. What are the health
benefits you get from
physical fitness exercises?
3. Do you have a plan to
exercise daily? Why?
V. Remarks :Do you have any questions? None Sir
