· Pleadings: Meaning, Nature and Scope.
· Rules of Pleading, amendments to pleading.
· Plaint and essentials of Plaint, written statement. (Model for practice).
· Model Application(s) for Practice: For execution of decree, condonation of delay,
setting aside ex-parte orders, caveat, ad-interm relief, dispensation of notice for
filing suit against govt.
Unit II Pleading II
. Application for Seeking Revision under CPC.
. Application seeking Injunction.
. Application for grant of Succession Certificate.
. Affidavit and its components.
. Legal Notice.
Unit III Conveyancing and Drafting I
· Conveyancing; object and Function.
· Deed; components of deed.
· Model Draft(s) for Practise: Sale deed, gift deed, Mortgage deed, lease deed, will
deed, relinquishment, partnership deed.
· Various bonds and agreements under Negotiable Instrument Act.
· Power of attorney (General/Special)
Unit IV Conveyancing and Drafting II
· Applications and Complaints under CrPC: Complaints under CrPC.
· Application for Bail/ Anticipatory Bail.
· Application for maintenance under CrPC, Removal of Nuisance.

Teaching-Learning Strategies in Brief:

In addition to the classroom teaching through ICT and audio-visual aids, the teaching
learning strategies for this course also include numerous pedagogies, such as guided self
learning, peer learning, case studies, learning through group projects, field studies and
experiential learning.

Assessment Methods and Weightages in Brief:

In addition to summative assessment, various formative assessment tools are to be used for
assessment of performance of the students in the light of the Course Learning Outcomes
(CLOs) of this course. Formative assessment tools, such as Time-constrained examination,
problem based assignment, team project reports followed by oral presentations shall be used
for assessment. Real time feedback, guidance, course correction, mentoring and monitoring
of the students performance shall be the key features of assessment methods. The course has
a weightage of 100 marks. 75% of the marks will be covered by the End Semester
Examination; whereas 25%, which constitutes internal assessment, will be done by the
concerned teacher.
