Day 1

October 14, 2024

Monday
Today marks an exciting start to FS 2: Participation and Teaching
Assistantship—my first day working closely with students and experiencing what
it’s like to assist and participate actively in teaching. I felt both excited and a bit
nervous when I found out that Ma’am Nerisa Ret-Benisano, grade 10-Makabansa
adviser, would be my Cooperating Teacher. Knowing how experienced she is
made me feel grateful for the chance to learn from her, and I knew she would
have high expectations, which made me determined to do my best.
I started the day with several tasks that
made me realize how much teachers handle
outside the classroom. Ma’am asked me to
check the summative test papers for her five
sections, which felt special since I had written
those questions during my last day in FS 1.
She also asked me to type up an activity for the
students on argumentative essays about “Why
aggressive driving should be avoided.” Then,
she sent a video and asked me to create a 15-
item test based on its content. I also made
another 15-item matching test on the writer’s purpose, focusing on plot, setting,
and characterization. I also checked the English notebooks for Grade 10
Makabansa.
This experience made me realize that
teachers have a lot more paperwork than I
thought and it made me realize that teaching is
not just about delivering lessons in the
classroom; it’s a profession that requires
organization, patience, and strong time
management. I also gained a deeper
appreciation for the dedication and commitment
that teachers put into their work. As a student
intern, I began to see the world of teaching not
just as a job but as a calling, where each task
contributes to shaping students' lives and futures. I understood that behind every
lesson, there are countless hours of preparation and reflection, which motivated
me to embrace these responsibilities with a sense of purpose.
With that, I’ve learned that I must be
flexible, ready to adjust, and willing to take on
different types of work that comes my way. When
faced with multiple tasks, staying calm and
organized will be my best approach. Time
management is something I’m going to focus on,
knowing it’ll be valuable not only in teaching but in
all areas of life. Today was challenging, but I look
forward to more days like this, learning under Ma’am Nerisa’s guidance and
pushing myself to grow in ways I might not have expected.

Day 2
October 15, 2024
Tuesday
Today was another engaging day as a student intern. Each task I
completed gave me a deeper understanding of what it means to be a teacher. I
was excited to take on new responsibilities and learn more about the daily life of
educators.
My day began with Ma’am asking me
to check the English notebooks and the
journals for the Constancy section. This task
helped me see how important it is for
teachers to monitor their students' work and
progress. After that, Ma’am sent me a
YouTube link about Textual Aids and
instructed me to create a 15-item test with
true/false and matching questions. This was
a challenging yet valuable experience, as it
required me to think critically about how to
assess what students had learned. Next, I
was tasked with going to the office to ask
Ma’am Joan for 175 photocopies of an
activity. This was challenging for me because
I was unfamiliar with the staff, as it was my
first time here. This experience taught me
how essential communication is in a school
environment. Once I got the photocopies, I
sorted them into five sections for 35 students
each, crossing out one paragraph from each
copy. Finally, I observed Ma’am as she taught the Allegiance section. Watching
her interact with the students showed me how to effectively deliver lessons and
engage learners.
Reflecting on my experiences today, I realized that teaching is much
more than just delivering lessons. It involves careful planning, organization, and
effective communication. I understood that every task, big or small, contributes to
the learning process. This journey is helping me appreciate the hard work
teachers put in behind the scenes to ensure their students succeed. I see that
being a teacher requires patience and the ability to adapt to different situations. It
is not just about sharing knowledge; it’s about building relationships and creating
an environment where students feel supported and motivated to learn.
Today, I began to see that being a teacher is a commitment to shaping
the lives of young people, requiring patience, empathy, and a willingness to learn
alongside them. As I continue my journey as a student intern, I am motivated to
embrace these challenges and grow from them. I understand that every
experience, big or small, is an opportunity to learn and improve. I look forward to
facing more challenges and discovering the rewarding aspects of being a
teacher. With each step I take, I am excited to contribute to my students’ learning
and development, knowing they will also shape me into a better educator in the
future.

Day 3
October 16, 2024
Wednesday
Today was a dynamic day as a student intern, filled with various tasks
and opportunities to learn. The students were busy preparing for the upcoming
wellness competition, which created a lively atmosphere in the classroom. I felt
excited to be part of this environment and contribute in any way I could.
Since the students were
preoccupied, I helped clean the room to
ensure it was ready for the students.
Ma’am then asked me to check the
journal notebooks for the Fervency and
Allegiance sections which allowed me to
see how important it is for teachers to
track their students’ work. Then, Ma’am
instructed me to create visual aids for
the activities in Allegiance and Fervency.
I accompanied her while she explained
the lesson, observing her teaching
methods. Later, she entrusted me with the Constancy section, where I gave an
activity and explained what the students needed to accomplish. This was a
significant step for me, as I had the chance to lead a part of the lesson.
Reflecting on my experiences today, I
realized the importance of being adaptable and
ready for anything. Working with Ma’am and the
students taught me that teaching often involves
unexpected challenges. It is crucial to stay
flexible and open-minded. I learned the
importance of being proactive and stepping in
wherever needed, whether it’s cleaning, checking
notebooks, or preparing visual aids. Today
reinforced my understanding that teaching is not
just about lessons; it’s about being present and
responsive to the needs of the students.

Overall, today’s experiences deepened my appreciation for the

teaching profession. I learned that being prepared for the unexpected is
essential, as it allows me to respond effectively to various situations. This
realization motivates me to embrace every challenge and opportunity that comes
my way. I understand now that flexibility, patience, and a proactive attitude are
crucial qualities for any educator. As I continue my journey as a student intern, I
am committed to seizing every opportunity to learn and grow, knowing that each
day will help shape me into a better teacher. My experiences today remind me
that teaching is not just a job; it is a calling that requires dedication and a
willingness to adapt.

Day 4
October 17, 2024
Thursday
"Teaching is not just a profession; it’s a journey of growth and discovery."
Today marked another significant step in my path as a student intern, filled with
opportunities to learn and develop my teaching skills. I was reminded that
teaching is both an art and a science. It requires creativity, structure, and the
ability to connect with students in meaningful ways.
My day began with Ma’am asking me to create a 15-item summative test
focused on the structural elements and language features of argumentative text.
This challenging task required me to think deeply about how to assess students'
understanding effectively. Following this, Ma’am provided me with a topic and
encouraged me to develop a lesson plan centered on formulating statements of
opinion and assertion. Crafting this lesson plan was both exciting and daunting. It
allowed me to take ownership of my teaching approach and consider how best to
engage my future students. This process helped me apply what I’ve learned
about teaching strategies and ways to inspire meaningful discussions.
Reflecting on these
experiences, I realized the
importance of preparation and
clarity in teaching. Each task
required me to understand the
content while also considering how
to present it in a way that is
accessible and interesting for my
students. I learned that creating
assessments and lesson plans is a
crucial part of being an educator. It
takes time and thought to do it well,
and this process has deepened my
appreciation for the planning that
goes into effective teaching. I understand that every lesson and assessment I
design will shape my students’ learning experiences. These tasks pushed me to
deepen my understanding of the content and how to present it in a way that
resonates with students. As a future educator, my role is to facilitate learning and
inspire students to think critically about the world around them.

My experiences today reinforced the idea that teaching is a dynamic

and evolving process. Each day offers new lessons and opportunities to grow. As
I develop my skills and knowledge, I know I must remain open to new ideas and
methods. Each lesson I prepare and every interaction I have with students will
contribute to my growth as a teacher. I am beginning to appreciate that every
task, no matter how small, contributes to the larger goal of fostering a love for
learning in my students. I am inspired to embrace each challenge, knowing that
the skills I develop now will help me become a more effective and compassionate
teacher in the future.

Day 5
October 18, 2024
Friday
"Every day in the classroom is an opportunity to inspire and be inspired."
As a future educator, this idea truly resonates with me. Each day in the
classroom brings new challenges, but also new opportunities for growth. Not only
do I get to help students learn and develop, but I also find that they inspire me in
return. This reciprocal relationship is what makes teaching so fulfilling and
transformative, shaping my journey as both a teacher and a lifelong learner.
My day began by checking the journal notebooks from five sections,
where students reflected on what they had learned throughout the week. This
task helped me appreciate the importance of self-reflection in learning. Since it
was a 30-minute scheduled period, I had the chance to handle the Allegiance,
Constancy, Loyalty, and Fervency classes myself. Conducting the summative
test I prepared was both exciting and nerve-wracking. After the tests, Ma’am
asked me to bring the answer sheets home to check them, giving me insight into
the assessment process. I also submitted my lesson plan for her review, which
felt like a significant step in my professional development.

Reflecting on today’s experiences, I realized how crucial it is to engage

with students and understand their learning processes. Conducting the
summative test allowed me to witness firsthand how my preparation translated
into student learning. I learned that teaching involves continuous reflection and
adaptation. It’s not just about delivering content; it’s about creating an
environment where students feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and
learning from one another. I also realized that feedback plays a vital role in
improving teaching methods, and I am learning
to value constructive criticism to become a
better educator. Each task I undertook today
taught me the significance of preparation,
communication, and connection in education.

Today’s experiences strengthened my

commitment to becoming a dedicated and
thoughtful educator. I see that teaching is a
continuous learning process, where every interaction and every lesson
contributes to my growth. As I prepare for my future role, I understand that my
ability to connect with students, assess their understanding, and adapt my
teaching strategies will define my effectiveness as a teacher. I am inspired to
embrace each challenge with enthusiasm, knowing that the skills I develop now
will help me foster a love for learning in my students and empower them to reach
their full potential.

Day 6
October 21, 2024
Monday
"Teaching is an act of courage and
patience, where every lesson taught is also a
lesson learned." Today was a milestone in my
journey as a student teacher. It marked the first
day of the second week in FS2, where I had the
opportunity to teach my first full lesson. My Cooperating Teacher asked me to
lead her last class of the morning, in the Constancy section, from 10:45 to 11:30
AM. I felt nervous, especially with two teachers seated at the back, but I was
determined to execute my lesson plan to my best of my ability.
I began with the preliminary activities and, with God’s guidance,
successfully delivered my entire lesson within the 45-minute period. It was
heartwarming to see how well the students listened and actively participated.
Their eagerness made the experience truly rewarding. While I had a slight delay
in posting my objectives, I felt proud that the lesson still ran smoothly. The
students, especially the boys, tried their best to stay engaged, and the class was
generally manageable. I later entered the Allegiance class, where students were
practicing for a dance competition. My role here was more supervisory, watching
over their practice and encouraging their hard work.
Reflecting on today's
experiences, I realized that not
everything in teaching goes according
to plan. Small setbacks, like the delay in
posting objectives, are reminders to
think on our feet and find solutions that
keep students on track. This experience
also reminded me of the importance of
flexibility, as every class and student is
unique. It’s essential to adjust quickly to
changes without confusing students,
always remaining sensitive to their needs. I also realized how vital it is to remain
calm and composed while teaching. Nerves are a natural part of the process, but
they can affect my delivery if I let them take over. I understand that teaching is a
journey filled with opportunities for growth. Each lesson I conduct helps me learn
more about my strengths and the areas I need to improve. I am beginning to
appreciate the impact I can have on my students and how crucial it is to create
an engaging learning environment. This experience has reinforced my
commitment to becoming a thoughtful and effective educator.
Today strengthened my commitment to becoming an educator who is
both adaptable and sensitive to the diverse needs of students. I understand that
teaching requires planning, yet also the ability to make quick adjustments. I’m
inspired to continue growing in these skills, as each challenge helps prepare me
for the real responsibilities of guiding, teaching, and supporting students in their
learning journey.
Day 7
October 28, 2024
Monday
"Teaching is a journey of growth and learning, where every feedback
shapes us to be better." Today was an insightful
day as I continued observing, preparing, and
reflecting on my path as a future educator. Each
task and interaction reminded me of the
importance of both self-improvement and
empathy for students, especially during difficult
times.
I observed the class as my
cooperating teacher guided students through
their activity, which was part of a module given during Typhoon Kristine.
Understanding the challenges they faced, I could see how crucial it is for
teachers to be patient and understanding. Ma’am asked me to prepare an essay
that included statements of opinion and assertion, along with 10 guiding
questions, and I also checked Grade 10-Makabansa's outputs on their
understanding of opinion versus assertion.

One of the highlights of the day was my post-conference with Ma’am,

where she offered both praise and constructive feedback on my first teaching
experience. She gave me encouraging feedback, appreciating my smooth
transitions and effective engagement strategies. She also provided constructive
tips: posting objectives on time, clearly explaining instructions, and using a more
modulated voice to hold students' attention. Her guidance on these details
showed me how small improvements can enhance the flow and clarity of a
lesson.

Reflecting on today’s experiences, I realized that feedback is one of

the most valuable tools in teaching. Learning to welcome constructive criticism is
key to becoming a more effective teacher. I’m grateful for Ma’am’s insights, as
they make me more aware of areas for growth while building on my strengths.
Additionally, this experience underscored the importance of compassion during
challenging situations, like the recent typhoon. As teachers, we need to provide
support, flexibility, and patience, knowing that students’ mental health and safety
should always be prioritized.

Overall, today reinforced my commitment to teaching as a profession

grounded in continuous learning, compassion, and adaptability. I understand that
my journey will be filled with lessons, not only about effective teaching strategies
but also about understanding and responding to my students’ needs. As I move
forward, I am motivated to embrace every opportunity for growth, recognizing
that even small improvements can make a big difference in the classroom.
Day 8
November 04, 2024
Monday

"Teaching is a commitment to guiding students, no matter the

obstacles." Today, I felt the responsibility of supporting students even through
unexpected challenges, like the recent suspension. I’m beginning to see that
teaching requires flexibility and a dedication to ensure students’ learning
continues, despite interruptions.

Today, I had the opportunity to check and review three different

activities that Ma’am had assigned to students during the recent class
suspension. This experience helped me understand how essential it is for
teachers to ensure that learning continues, even outside of the classroom. As I
went through each activity, I saw the variety in the students' responses and how
they had engaged with the material independently. Checking their work gave me
insight into the importance of creating assignments that are clear and
meaningful, so students can complete them effectively on their own. Reviewing
these activities also showed me how crucial it is for teachers to be flexible and
adapt their lesson plans to maintain learning momentum, even during
interruptions.
I realize how important it is
to be adaptable and empathetic as a
teacher. Sometimes, learning won’t go
exactly as planned, and it's up to us to
find ways to support our students through
any setbacks. Checking the assignments
reminded me that teaching is not just
about delivering lessons but also about
providing consistency and
encouragement when routines are
disrupted. Even during times when we can’t be physically present, our role as
educators is to provide guidance that supports students’ growth and
understanding.

Overall, this
experience reinforced my belief
that teaching is a profession built
on resilience and dedication. Each
task, no matter how simple, has
an impact on students' learning
journeys. Today reminded me that
teaching requires constant
awareness of students' needs and
an ability to adapt to different
learning situations. I’m realizing
that my role as a teacher goes
beyond delivering lessons—it’s
about guiding students through
every part of their learning journey, including the moments when they must learn
independently. This experience has strengthened my dedication to becoming a
reliable and resourceful educator, ready to support my students’ growth in every
circumstance.
Day 9

November 05, 2024

Tuesday

"Teaching requires patience, adaptability, and a commitment to

understand each student’s unique way of learning." Today reminded me that
every class and every student brings a unique experience to teaching. In this
role, I am learning how to embrace those differences and find ways to engage
each student, regardless of the challenges that arise.

Today’s tasks began with

checking student papers, which gave
me insight into each student’s
progress and understanding. Then,
Ma’am asked me to create a visual aid
for an upcoming activity, a task that
allowed me to contribute creatively to
her lesson. The highlight of my day,
however, came when Ma’am
unexpectedly asked me to deliver a
lesson on a topic I had previously taught to the Constancy section, this time for
the Allegiance section from 9:15 to 10:00 a.m. This experience emphasized that
even with the same material, each class interacts and responds differently. The
Allegiance section brought new dynamics, challenging me to stay adaptable and
maintain a balance between guidance and authority.

Reflecting on this experience, I realize that teaching requires adapting

to different learning styles and personalities in each class. Every student group is
unique, and it’s my role to connect with them, adjust my strategies, and inspire
participation. I learned that some students may need more encouragement, while
others may need to be gently redirected. Every moment in the classroom offers
an opportunity to refine my methods and find what works best for each group.
This experience taught me that while preparation is crucial, flexibility is equally
essential in navigating the unpredictable nature of teaching. By being open to
change and willing to learn from each lesson, I can provide a learning
environment that meets the needs of all my students.

As a future educator, I
realize that every moment in the
classroom, every challenge, and
every triumph is an opportunity for
growth, both for my students and for
myself. Indeed, it is true that
teaching is not a one-size-fits-all
approach; it requires ongoing
reflection, flexibility, and a deep
commitment to meeting each
student where they are. I am
learning that my journey as a
teacher will be shaped by these
moments of trial and error, patience,
and the desire to make a difference
in each student's life. Every day, I
am becoming more equipped to build meaningful connections and create an
environment where all students can thrive.
Day 10

November 06, 2024

Wednesday

"Teaching is not only about imparting knowledge, but also about

nurturing the whole person—intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually." Today, I
realized that being an educator goes beyond academic learning. It's about
helping students grow in all aspects of their lives. As a student teacher, I am
beginning to see the bigger picture and how important it is to be well-rounded in
guiding students through their personal and spiritual development as well.

Today was a quieter day, as it was the first Wednesday of the month,
and the students attended mass. During this time, I reflected on how schools play
a vital role in shaping not only the minds of students but also their hearts and
values that schools aim to foster in students. After mass, I stayed in the room,
where Ma’am asked me to create a 20-item test for summative 2.3. Once I
finished and submitted it to her, we had a productive sharing session where we
discussed ideas for my next topic. This collaborative moment helped me refine
my approach and gave me more direction for my upcoming lessons. After Ma’am
reviewed the test, she gave me the remaining time to plan the lesson.

Reflecting on the day, I realize that teaching is not just about

completing tasks, but about fostering an environment where different aspects of
growth are nurtured. While I spent some time working on test questions, the idea-
sharing with Ma’am highlighted the importance of collaboration and adaptability
in teaching. It taught me that a good educator is always open to feedback and
can use collaboration to improve their lessons. The experience also reminded me
that even on quieter days, there are opportunities for reflection, planning, and
growth as a teacher.

Overall, today’s experience reinforced the idea that teaching is a holistic

endeavor. As a future educator, I must remember that education is about more
than delivering lessons—it’s about preparing students to be well-rounded
individuals who are not only knowledgeable but also spiritually and emotionally
aware. I am learning that the best educators are those who can balance
academic goals with the emotional and spiritual well-being of their students.

Day 11

November 07, 2024

Thursday

"An effective teacher is someone who understands that learning is

limitless and that each day brings new opportunities to grow alongside students."
Today, I was reminded of the importance of continuous learning and the
responsibility of being prepared to guide students through their questions and
curiosities.

My day began by gathering

materials for Ma’am, including 170
photocopies for tomorrow’s summative
test and 40 papers for today’s activity. I
sorted these into bundles for five
sections, organized to make tomorrow
run smoothly. Later, I spent time checking
two sections of student notebooks, an
activity that allowed me to see their
progress and note areas where they may
need more support. When Ma’am asked
me to supervise the Allegiance class
during their activity, I roamed around to
help. Many students approached me with
questions, asking about meanings and instructions. This experience reminded
me of how important it is for a teacher to be knowledgeable, not only about their
subject but also in general, to answer the many questions students may have. To
wrap up the day, I entered the Constancy class from 10:45 to 11:30 a.m.

Reflecting on the experience, I realize that as a teacher, being

approachable and knowledgeable creates a positive classroom atmosphere.
Today, I felt the importance of "knowing something about everything and
everything about something" because students rely on us not just for lessons but
for clarity and encouragement. Walking around to answer their questions taught
me how much students need guidance and how rewarding it feels to be there for
them, especially when they are eager to learn. This experience showed me that
teaching is an ongoing journey of building knowledge, patience, and a willingness
to be there for each student’s needs. I realized that a teacher’s role is often to
simplify complex ideas and support students in understanding each concept at
their own pace.

Overall, today reinforced the idea that teaching is a journey of

continual learning. As a future educator, I realize that it’s not enough to know
only one subject deeply. I must also be ready to address a range of questions
that go beyond what is planned. This experience inspires me to keep growing as
a learner, so I can be a stronger guide and mentor for my students, helping them
navigate their questions and cultivate their own curiosity.
Day 12

November 08, 2024

Friday

"Teaching is not just about delivering lessons; it’s about dedicating

time, energy, and heart into every task that supports student learning." Today
was a fulfilling day that reminded me that teaching is not only about managing
tasks, but about seeing the purpose and value in every small action I take. Every
notebook checked, every activity reviewed—these actions are building my ability
to understand and support each student’s journey in a more meaningful way.

As I reviewed students' notebooks and their activities on formulating

claims, I could see their individual perspectives and creativity in interpreting
visuals. This exercise reminded me that each student has a unique way of
expressing ideas and responding to tasks, and part of my role is to encourage
and nurture these differences. In discussing my lesson plan with Ma'am, I also
gained valuable insights and new ideas that will help me strengthen my teaching
methods. These conversations showed me that teaching is a collaborative effort
and that sharing knowledge and insights with mentors is essential for growth.

I realize how essential it is to

approach teaching with an open mind
and a willingness to learn from every
experience, both big and small. Each
task, no matter how routine it might
seem, contributes to my understanding
of my students and helps me develop as
an educator. I am beginning to see that
teaching requires patience—not just with
students, but with myself, as I develop
my skills and find my voice in the
classroom. Honestly speaking, I often
find myself doubting whether I'm doing
enough, but I've come to understand that growth in teaching isn't instantaneous.
The more I immerse myself in this process, the more I recognize that the journey
to becoming an effective educator is filled with constant learning. It’s not about
perfection, but about progress. I realize that even when things don’t go as
planned, these moments offer valuable lessons that shape me into a better
teacher. Teaching, at its core, is about being adaptable, learning from my
experiences, and making continuous improvements, not just for my students, but
for myself as well.

Looking ahead as a future

educator, I now recognize that every
task, whether it’s grading papers or
discussing lesson plans, contributes
to shaping me into a better teacher.
The key takeaway is that effective
teaching requires constant reflection,
openness to feedback, and a
willingness to adapt. I realize that to
be a truly effective educator, I must
embrace every experience with
dedication and an open heart. Each
day strengthens my commitment to
be the kind of teacher who supports,
inspires, and learns from every
student in my care.
Day 13
November 11, 2024
Monday
During this day, I had the opportunity to teach three sections—
Makabansa, Allegiance, and Constancy—a new lesson on the structural
elements and language features of exposition. I kept the lesson interactive and
engaging by simplifying the discussion and incorporating games, which helped
capture the students’ attention. After teaching my first section, I had a post-
conference with my cooperating teacher, Ma’am Nerisa Benisano, who provided
me with constructive feedback. She praised the organization and structure of my
lesson delivery but also highlighted areas where I could improve. Later, during
my vacant period, Ma’am Nerisa asked me to check journals and English
notebooks from the three sections. These tasks made me understand the
behind-the-scenes responsibilities of teaching that go beyond standing in front of
a classroom.

Reflecting on these
experiences, I realized that
teaching is a continuous process of
trial, error, and refinement. The
feedback I received taught me that
there is always room for growth,
and every mistake is a chance to
do better. Teaching also requires
adaptability—to find creative ways
to simplify lessons and engage
students. Checking the students’
work gave me insights into their
strengths and struggles, reminding
me of the importance of paying close attention to individual progress. I also
understood the significance of collaboration with mentors, whose guidance is
invaluable for my professional growth.

Overall, this experience has strengthened my commitment to becoming

a better educator. It taught me that teaching is more than just delivering lessons
—it is about connecting with students, understanding their needs, and striving to
improve for their benefit. As a future educator, I have realized that every lesson is
an opportunity not only to teach but to inspire, guide, and grow alongside the
students. It is a profession that demands passion, patience, and the constant
willingness to improve. This journey as a student-teacher is a stepping stone,
shaping me into the teacher I aspire to be.

Day 14

November 18, 2024

Monday

During this day, I experienced how challenging yet fulfilling it is to

balance the responsibilities of a teacher. After the school suspension and sports
fest, I returned to the classroom to assist in organizing and checking the modules
given to the students during Typhoon “Pepito”. I went through three different
activities for five sections, ensuring that every output was checked properly. This
task taught me the value of patience, accuracy, and dedication, as I wanted to
provide meaningful feedback to each student.

Through these tasks, I

realized the depth of a teacher’s
role in shaping students’ learning,
even in challenging
circumstances. The experience
made me understand that
teaching is not limited to
delivering lessons; it extends to
guiding students through their
work, ensuring they understand
concepts, and providing support
when needed. It’s about being
present, even during disruptions
like typhoons, to make sure the
students continue to grow academically and emotionally.

As a future educator, this

experience solidified my commitment to the
profession. I learned the importance of
responsibility, adaptability, and genuine care
for my students. Education is not just about
teaching; it’s about being a mentor, a guide,
and someone who inspires perseverance in the face of challenges. This day
reminded me that the impact we create as teachers can shape the lives of our
students in profound ways.
Day 15

November 19, 2024

Tuesday

Teaching is an art that combines knowledge, confidence, and the ability to

connect with others. On this day, I was given the chance to discuss a new topic
with the students, focusing on public speaking and the differences between
prepared and impromptu speeches. Standing in front of three sections, I had the
responsibility to not only deliver the content but also to engage and inspire the
students to build their communication skills.

As I explained the concepts,

I made sure to give relatable
examples and encouraged the
students to participate. The task
required clear communication,
confidence, and a passion for
teaching. I realized that preparing
for each session was essential, but
I also needed to adapt to the
students' responses and learning
pace. Each interaction was a
chance to learn how to manage
time, engage students, and make the lessons meaningful for them.

This experience reminded me of the

importance of effective communication as
an educator. It’s not just about the subject
being taught; it’s about creating an
environment where students feel motivated
to express themselves. As a future
educator, I learned that teaching is about
guiding students to find their voices and
equipping them with skills they can use in
life. This day strengthened my passion for
teaching and my commitment to nurturing
confident, capable individuals.
Day 16

November 20, 2024

Wednesday

Every day as a student teacher brings new lessons and experiences,

shaping me into a better educator. Today, I had the opportunity to immerse
myself in essential teaching tasks, such as checking and grading the students'
reading logs for five sections. Additionally, my mentor reviewed my lesson plan
for my final demonstration, which was both exciting and nerve-wracking. These
tasks reminded me that teaching is a continuous process of preparation,
evaluation, and improvement.

As I checked the students'

reading logs, I appreciated the effort
they put into their work. Grading their
outputs required attention to detail,
consistency, and fairness. It wasn’t just
about giving marks; it was about
understanding their progress and
guiding them to improve. On the other
hand, having my lesson plan checked
by my mentor made me realize the
importance of being thorough and open
to feedback. Preparing for the final
demo allowed me to refine my
approach and ensure that my lesson
would be engaging and meaningful for
the students.

This experience taught me that

being an educator is not just about delivering lessons but also about managing
responsibilities with care and diligence. Evaluating outputs helped me see how
students learn in different ways, while preparing my lesson plan made me more
aware of the value of planning and adaptability. As a future teacher, I realize that
every task, big or small, plays a significant role in shaping the learning
experience. It strengthened my commitment to becoming a teacher who inspires,
guides, and supports students in their journey.
Day 17

November 21, 2024

Thursday

Teaching is not just a

profession; it is a calling to inspire,
guide, and bring out the best in
students. Today marked an important
milestone in my journey as a student
teacher—my final demo teaching. I
delivered my lesson to the STE-
Makabansa section, and it turned out
to be a wonderful experience because
the students were highly engaged and
active. It was a fulfilling moment that
tested my skills, preparation, and
passion for teaching.

After my demo, we had a post-

conference with Ma’am Nerisa Benisano.
She gave me constructive feedback,
highlighting areas for improvement. Taking
her suggestions to heart, I applied them
during another discussion with a different
section. This allowed me to refine my
teaching methods, and I was happy to hear
positive feedback from Ma’am Nerisa, who
noted that the adjustments made a
significant difference. This process taught me the importance of listening to
feedback, adapting, and striving for continuous growth as an educator.

This day reminded me of the importance of preparation, openness to

critique, and adaptability in teaching. It showed me that being a teacher means
constantly improving to provide the best learning experience for students. As a
future educator, I realize that every lesson, every feedback, and every interaction
shapes not only the students but also the teacher. This journey has strengthened
my resolve to become a teacher who is committed to learning, evolving, and
making a lasting impact on the lives of my students.
Day 18

November 22, 2024

Friday

Teaching is a journey of endless responsibilities, but it is also a journey

filled with gratitude and growth. Today was another meaningful day as I
navigated through various tasks that reminded me of the dedication required to
become a great educator. It was not just about completing tasks—it was about
learning, building connections, and giving back to those who supported me.

Ma’am entrusted me to
administer the summative tests for
her three sections and check them
during my vacant time. Aside from
that, I reviewed essays related to
the reading month for five
sections, ensuring that each piece
was evaluated thoughtfully. While
waiting for the rating sheet for my
final demo, she gave me another
section’s output to check. By the
end of the day, we exchanged
words of gratitude, and I
expressed my thanks with a small
gift, showing my appreciation for
her guidance throughout my
teaching journey.

This experience reinforced

the idea that teaching requires
hard work, patience, and attention
to detail. It also taught me the
importance of building professional
relationships and showing gratitude to mentors who help shape us into better
educators. As a future teacher, I’ve realized that the small moments—like saying
thank you or completing a task well—are just as significant as the bigger
milestones. They remind me that teaching is about continuous learning,
connection, and a genuine love for helping others grow.
