Objective:
To create a detailed social media strategy and content plan for a brand of your choice,
demonstrating your creativity, research skills, and ability to execute.
Instructions:
Choose a brand of your choice (preferably in the handicraft, luxury lifestyle, or
sustainability niche) and design a 1-week content plan focusing on enhancing
engagement, increasing reach, and aligning with the brand's values. Submit the
assignment in a PDF format with the following details:
Assignment Details
1. Research and Strategy
• Conduct a competitor analysis of 2 similar brands in the chosen niche.
• Identify 3 key trends in social media for 2024 that align with the brand's target
audience.
• Based on your research, provide 2-3 unique selling points (USPs) for the chosen
brand.
2. 1-Week Content Plan
Create a content plan for Instagram with the following details:
• Number of Posts: Minimum of 5 posts (including at least 1 carousel post and 1
reel).
• Theme: Align the posts with the brand's core values.
• For each post, include(in an excel file/ table format):
o Content Idea: Brief description of the post.
o Target Audience: Whom the post aims to engage.
o Format: Static post, carousel, or reel.
o Goal: Awareness, engagement, or conversion.
o Call to Action (CTA): Example: "Explore More," "Shop Now," or
"Comment Your Thoughts."
3. Creative Samples
• Design mockups for 2 Instagram posts and 1 reel. For eg.:
o Post 1: Highlighting a product or service.
o Post 2: Promoting the brand’s values (e.g., sustainability, craftsmanship,
or community impact).
o Reel: A short storytelling reel (e.g., the story behind a product or service).
• Tools like Canva, Adobe, or any other software can be used. Creativity and
alignment with the brand aesthetic will be evaluated.
4. Engagement Strategy
• Propose 3 unique ideas to engage with the brand's followers on Instagram (e.g.,
contests, polls, collaborations, etc.).
• Suggest strategies to increase follower count and improve engagement rate.
5. Performance Metrics (10 Marks)
• List 5 key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the social
media campaigns.
• Explain why these metrics are important.
Evaluation Criteria
• Creativity and alignment with the chosen brand’s image (or HastIndia’s image, if
chosen).
• Practicality and execution feasibility of the strategy.
• Attention to detail and originality in content ideas.
• Presentation and structure of the assignment.
