Subject : Undertaking letter for removal and re – instatement of fencing.
We, (Client/Owner), hereby undertake to remove the fencing to carry out Emergency
Maintenance/Repair/Proposed work for DEWA Services without prior notice. All necessary
Reinstatement works related to the fencing removal will be carried out by us at our own cost. DEWA
have no liability whatsoever in this respect. We further confirm that, 24/7 open access will be
provided for patrolling and maintenance staff of DEWA and construction activity / dumping
material/site offices/project sign board will not be allowed inside the fencing area within the vicinity
of DEWA corridor/services unless the relevant NOC is obtained from DEWA.
Also, we hereby undertake the following:
1. DEWA services will be barricaded properly and no access will provided over it.
2. DEWA services will be marked and sign boards installed for indicating the number of services and
its depth.
3. DEWA services crossing at the Access area (Entry & Exit) will be marked and protected as per
DEWA Standard Specification and staff guidance.
Moreover, we shall be held fully liable for any defects/damages that might develop by us on DEWA
services.

The services existing in the above and below ground own by DEWA are called DEWA services
(For example: Electricity cables (LV/HV/EHV/OHL) Joints joint bay/Transition joints Communication cables (F.O/Scada/Pilot)
Water pipeline/ chamber /manholes/RTU and gas fuel pipeline, etc…,)
