1. How do you meet your best friend?
Actually, we are in the same class so we talk to each other every day even on weekends. But
because of the impact of Covid-19, we can't chat as usual, instead of texting, calling or video
call whenever we are both free.
2. How often do you meet your friends?
On weekends or when we are both free, or whenever we like because our houses are very close
to each other and it is easy for us to meet each other
3. What do you usually do when you meet your friends?
Like every other couple of friends do, I often tell my friends about the things that I encounter,
the things that make me happy, sad, and my secrets too. We play games together, eat together,
study together, et cetera
4. Do you prefer having lots of casual acquaintances or having a few close friends?
I prefer both. Having a lot of casual acquaintances is more benefical than harmful, it helps me
get to know and learn more from them, and it might help me in the future too. But having a few
close friends is also very good, those close relationships make me comfortable and close
5. Do you usually get invited to visit your friend’s house, or do you invite your friends
to your house?
i often get invited to visit my friend's house because they like me to visit them often but i'm the
opposite, i don't invite my friends to my house often because my parents like quiet and they
quite difficult
6. Who do you think is more important to you, your family or your friends?
both are important people to me. My family is my protection and my home, the place where I
feel most comfortable wherever I go. As for my friends, they are like psychologists, they know
my secrets, listen to me and know what I need and I want.
7. What do you usually do when you spend time with your family?
I often play family games, watch a movie that the whole family enjoys, or create a unique
recipe for the whole family. In general, my family likes to gather around to do something
simple rather than wear nice clothes and eat at a fancy restaurant.
8. Who do you resemble the most among your family members?
I don't know exactly who I resemble the most among my family. Maybe both mom and dad,
because I like neatness and order just like my dad but I smile a lot and look like my mom
TOPIC 9: FOOD & HEALTH
1. What kind of snack do you like?
I like salty snacks like popcorn, chips, pretzels,....because i like small and moderate salty things
2. Do you eat different snacks depending on the time of the day?
yes, of course. I'm a junkie and I eat when I'm bored, sad, and happy too. And I think I have two
stomachs, one for rice and one for snacks
3. Do you enjoy eating chocolate?
no, i don't like a chocolate bar that tastes too sweet, instead i like something that is moderately
sweet and it's better to have a little bit of chocolate every once in a while to relieve stress
4. Do you like cooking?
i like to cook but only a little bit because i can only cook simple things and i am not good with
knives or cutting meat
5. Who does the cooking at your home?
my father is the one who does it because he is really good at cooking and very delicious. he
knows everyone's taste and knows how to please everyone with his food
6. When you were a child, do you help your parents to prepare meals?
It was like that in the past and still is today. My parents always taught me to help them with
chores and that includes preparing meals
7. Do you think children should help their parents prepare meals?
yes, of course. Because it helps them learn to help and gain the cooking skills they need later on
Also, let them do so so they can appreciate the meal and not be lazy
8. What kind of food is popular in your country?
In our country as well as in Asian countries, we often consider rice as the main meal and the
most popular dish. In Vietnam, not only rice but also dishes made and cooked from flour, rice
flour are also very popular
TOPIC 10: TRAVEL AND TRANSPORTATION
1.Which do you use more often buses or taxis?
Actually, in my city, the population is not too much so the public transportation like buses,
trains,… are not popular but instead that people use taxi more and I am one of them, I often use
taxis more than buses.
2. Which do you prefer public transportation or private cars?
I guess everyone will like me that they will prefers a private car to public transportation because
it's actually a lot more convenient. You can go as long, as far as you like, and do whatever you
want in your car – things you can't do on public transport.
3.What is your favourite type of transportation?
-I will choose the plane because I like the feeling of flying in the sky and if possible I would
like to have a plane of my own - which can never happen.
-I will choose
the car because it is really convenient on bad weather days, and it is also fast and beautiful
4.Do you think many pp ride bikes in your country?
There used to be, but now there are actually quite a few people riding bicycles, but motorbikes
are the most popular because
they are easier to move, faster and more beautiful than bicycles.
5.Do you learn how to ride a bike when you were a child?
Of course I do, and it really took me a long time to master a bike. And actually the falls then
made me more proficient at controlling two-wheelers and as a result, my legs are scarred now.
6. Do you think children should learn how to ride a bike?
they should learn how to ride a bicycle because it helps them exercise their health, practice to
gradually know how to handle situations that may occur in traffic......
7. Is it safe to ride a bike in your city?
if it's in my city, the traffic is not crowded so it's still quite safe but I don't think cycling is a
good idea because my place is called a highland city, so the road has many slopes and bends,
which makes it difficult for riding a bicycle
8. Have you ever taken a long-distance trip by bus or train?
In the past, I used to take the bus if I had to take long distances, but now I rarely take the bus, I
usually go by private car because it is much more comfortable and convenient than the bus.
Topic 11: Weather and Nature
1. What is your favorite season?
Honestly, I love all the seasons but I think my favorite is spring. Usually, it starts at the end of
December in our country and lasts till the middle of March. During the spring, the weather is cool and
tolerable with freezing wind. One of the best things about spring is that beautiful green and flowers are
noticed everywhere. Fruit trees, such as cherry and apricot trees are in full blossom.
2. Do you like rainy days? Why?
No, I don't love rainy days at all. It is soaking-wet and I hate being wet in rain, especially when I ride
motorbike and most rains in Vietnam are associated with winds, it’s very dangerous. In addition, I often
have colds on rainy days
3. Do you like sunny days? Why?
I like sunny days, definitely. It is the best weather to do some outdoor activities such as
badminton, volleyball… I tend to feel energetic and active. Or sometimes, I plan a
picnic with my friends and my family on weekends
4. Is there a good place to go in your neighborhood on sunny days?
Yes, of course. Dai Doan Ket square is one of the most suitable places on sunny days with cool wind.
We can go for a walk, do exercise and play games because the space is very large, there are many trees
to rest. Or we can eat some food in the afternoon and hang out with friends. Also, it’s great if you visit
“Bien Ho” on a sunny day
5. Does the weather ever affect what you do?
Yes, my plan according to the weather, if it is a sunny day, I will go for a walk or go shopping. If it is a
rainy day, I will stay at home, read books or listen to music. Weather affects my mood too, I am in a bad
mood on cold, gloomy days. I love summertime, when it's warm and sunny.
6. Have you ever taken care of flowers or any other types of plant?
Now, I have a rose garden and a cactus, I plant them because of my interest. The cactus is
a gift from my parents so I take good care of it. As for the rose garden, I and my mother
take care of it, my mother loves flowers too because of its color . I find myself feeling peaceful
and relaxed while enjoying nice flowers in my garden.
7. Have you given flowers as a gift?
Of course, most recently, on October 20, I gave my mother a bouquet of flowers and in my country
flowers play an essential role as a special gift for people to show love to one another on different
occasions such as birthday party, Women’s Day, or Valentine’s day
8. Have you raise a pet?
Although I would love to have a pet, my parents don’t allow me because my mother is allergic to dogs
and cats. When I go to college, if I have chance, I will raise a dog
TOPIC 12: SPECIAL EVENTS
1. Do you think birthdays are important?
I don't even know how to explain it. When I was a child, it was very important to celebrate my
birthday because it was an occasion where I could meet and play with my friends and more
importantly, I could receive gifts from them. But as I get older, celebrating birthdays doesn't
matter anymore, maybe because it happens every year, I don't feel as excited as I did when I
was a kid.
2. Who do you usually spend your birthdays with: friends or family?
Both are important: my parents are the ones who gave birth to me and are by my side when I
need and friends are people I share my feelings with and know what I want. So I want to stay
beside them on important occasions like birthdays
3. How do children in your country spend their birthdays?
they often invite people they really love and typically their friends. And because they are
young, their birthday party will be prepared by their parents in advance, usually it will be held
at home, after eating and drinking, the host will open gifts and finally they will play outdoor
games together.
4. Do you like to give gifts?
If it's the people I like, it doesn't matter. But I don't usually and don't like to give gifts to people
I'm not close to
5. When do people give and receive gifts in your country?
on anniversaries like women's day, valentine's day, birthday,... and sometimes
they give and receive gifts to congratulate each other like: win some award or complete their
work…
6. What are the biggest holidays in your country?
Tet holiday, I think.On this holiday, most people put their work aside and those who work far
away will also return home to be with their families.

Summer holiday is the best because it is the longest holiday and the weather of summer is also
great for outdoor activities and trips away from home.
Topic 13: Daily life
1.How do you feel when you’re late?
Embarrassed feeling. You know, when I'm late I feel like everyone's staring at me and I'm like a
clown who just ruined their plans.
2. Do people in your country think that being on time is important?
Of course yes and I think everyone in the world would think so. Is there anything worse when
you are very busy but have to wait for someone to be late? Unless you have a good reason to be
late, you have lost a lot of points in the eyes of others
3. What do you usually do in the evening?
If it was before, I would still be busy with extra lessons and homework. But now, because of the
outbreak of Covid 19, I don't have to take so much extra classes and have more time to watch
movies and play games with my family.
4. Are evenings on the weekends different from those on the weekdays?
Usually at the end of the month those evenings are different, because I am allowed to gather
and hang out with friends, but on weekdays I still have to focus on studying more.
5. What is your favorite weekday?
maybe it's friday because it's almost weekend and i usually have little work to do on this day
6. What are your plans for this weekend? What about next week
I'll probably stay home and do my homework. And next week maybe I'll visit my aunt and eat
my favorite curry that she always makes for me
7. Do you like housework?
Even though I'm a girl, I'm quite lazy about housework and frankly I don't like housework. But
in fact, I do housework very well because my parents are always busy and I have to be
independent when i was a kid
8. What can we do to make household chores less boring?
You can work while listening to music or break up the housework to have time to rest and you
will not feel too tired when you have to do too many things at the same time.

1. Do you prefer to work or study alone or in a group?
I approve of group work because there will be many opinions from everyone and from there I
can absorb and improve my thinking.

I think it's important because through teamwork, people will be closer and more responsible for

when I am required to work in a group or when we are faced with a large and difficult
