PRACTICLE- 1

STEPS :
1. Open OpenOffice Writer and create a new document, setting the page
Orientation to Portrait and Margins to 1.5 inches.
2. Add a Header with the ABC Company logo and insert the Heading "Job
Application Form" (Times New Roman, 14 pts, Blue, Bold, Centered).
3. Below the heading, add the Subheading "Please fill in the details below:"
(Times New Roman, 12 pts, Black, Left-aligned).
4. Insert a table for qualifications with columns like Degree, Institute, Year of
Passing, and Marks/Grade; format it using AutoFormat.
5. Set Line Spacing to 1.5 pts, and choose a suitable background color and
page border.
6. Check the Print and Web Layout, then save and print the document.
PRACTICLE- 2

STEPS :
1. Write the Two Paragraphs: Type two paragraphs on "Democracy and
Constitution in India" in OpenOffice Writer.
2. Insert Black Lines: Place the cursor between the paragraphs, then go to Insert
> Horizontal Line. Right-click the line, select Line properties, and change the
color to black. Repeat for a second line.
3. Proof the Content: Go to Tools > Spelling and Grammar to check for errors
and correct them.
4. Use Find and Replace: Press Ctrl+H, enter "Democracy" in the "Find" field
and "DEMOCRACY" in the "Replace" field, then click Replace All. Repeat
for "Constitution" to replace it with "CONSTITUTION".
5. Add Header and Footer: Go to Insert > Header > Default to add the topic
name in the header. Then, go to Insert > Footer > Default and insert the page
number.
6. Save the Document: Save the file as "Democracy and Constitution in
India.odt".

STEPS :

1. Open OpenOffice Writer and insert a table with 4 columns and 7 rows (Table
> Insert Table).
2. Enter the data for S.no, ITEM, EXPENDITURE, and AMOUNT SAVED
FROM 1000 in the table.
3. Set the table borders to bold and highlighted (right-click the table > Table
Properties > Borders).
4. Add DATE and TIME above the table with the current date and time.
5. Save the document as "Table Trial.odt".

STEPS :
1. Open OpenOffice Writer and create a blank document.
2. Insert a Rectangle shape (Insert > Shape > Rectangle) to serve as the
background and resize it to cover the entire page.
3. Add a title for your magazine/book using the Text tool, selecting a large, bold
font, and centering it at the top of the page.
4. Insert images or clipart (Insert > Picture > From File or Insert > Gallery)
and place them creatively on the page.
5. Add additional text like author’s name, date, or tagline using different fonts and
sizes for emphasis.
6. Apply borders, shadows, or frames to elements for a more polished look.
7. Save the file as "MagazineCover.odt" when finished.

STEPS :
1. Open OpenOffice Writer and create a new document for the invitation,
inserting placeholders like [Salutation], [Name], [Date], etc.
2. Open OpenOffice Calc, create a spreadsheet with columns like Salutation,
Name, Date, Time, Venue, etc., and enter data for two friends.
3. Save the spreadsheet as "FriendsData.csv".
4. In Writer, go to Tools > Mail Merge Wizard, select "Use an existing list",
and choose the saved data source.
5. Insert merge fields (e.g., [Salutation], [Name]) into the invitation template.
6. Take screenshots of the merged invitation and the main document with the data
source.
7. Submit the screenshots as part of the output.
PRACTICLE- 6

STEPS :
1. Open OpenOffice Calc and create a new worksheet or open an existing one.
2. Enter diet-related data, such as nutrients, calories, and food items, in a table
format.
3. Open the Sidebar by going to View > Sidebar, then click the Gallery icon to
access images.
4. Browse the Gallery, select a relevant image (e.g., food-related), and click to
insert it into the worksheet.
5. Resize and position the image as needed, then save your worksheet.
Alternatively, you can insert an image from a file by selecting Insert > Picture
> From File.

STEPS :
1. Create or Open Blank sheet on OpenOffice Calc.
2. To Calculate Total Profit for each car we can use “=SUM(G5:G8)”
3. To Calculate Total Driver Cost we can use “=SUM(H5:H8)”
4. To Calculate Net Profit we can use “=G10-H10”

STEPS :
1. Organize your table in OpenOffice Calc.
2. Select the data for "ITEM Name" and "Net Profit" columns.
3. Go to Insert → Chart and choose a Column Chart type.
4. In the Chart Wizard, ensure the data range is correct and that the X-axis is set
to "ITEM Name" and the Y-axis to "Net Profit."
5. Add a chart title like "Net Profit for Each Item" and ensure the legend is
enabled.
6. Position the chart between the "Net Profit" and "ITEM Name" columns,
adjusting its size to avoid overlap.
7. Take a screenshot of the table and chart, including the chart elements like the
title, axes, and legend.
PRACTICLE- 9

STEPS :
1. Open or Create a blank OO calc worksheet.
2. Create the table which is asked to type.
3. To calculate the Total salary (Year 1), we can use “=Basic+HRA+DA”.
4. To calculate the Total salary (Year 2), we can use “=Total salary (Year
1)+Bonus”.
5. And To calculate the % increase , we can use “=(Salary(Year 2)-
Salary(Year 1))/Salary(Year 1) X 100”.
6. Now Save the worksheet.
PRACTICLE- 10

STEPS :
1. Open or Create a blank OO calc worksheet.
2. Create the table which is asked to type.
3. To Name the B3:B6 as ‘Qtr1’, select the range and type Qtr1 in the Name Box
Which is on top left next to the formula bar.
4. Similarly define the name of other all Ranges C3:C6, D3:D6, E3:E6.
5. To calculate Total of the Range B3:B6, use “=SUM(Qtr1)” formula.
6. Similarly take out the Total of all Ranges.
