2. Job Purpose/ Objectives
Lead the design, implementation and management of data transformation in NLNG through the
implementation of data governance, data quality, data standards, master/ reference data
management solutions, data warehouse environment and processes that support the company’s
Data initiatives.
3. Main Accountabilities
1. Provides vision, strategy and policy guidance for data acquisition, data usage and data
management activities.
2. Lead all efforts translating business strategies into data/information solutions, justifying and
selling those strategies and then managing implementation and ongoing use.
3. Develop and Manage the enterprise-wide data governance framework, with focus on
organization, policies, principles and standards, and governance metrics.
4. Develop and Manage the overall data creation and standardization strategy, including intake,
business rules-based transformation, data governance/integrity, architecture, and customer
tools/applications in accordance with the company’s business goals and objectives and in a
manner that maximizes utility for customers.
5. Ensures that all aspects of the Company’s data management processes, procedures, and
technology are consistent with current industry practices and meet all pertinent regulatory
requirements, both domestic and international.
6. Conduct business analysis, event modeling, logical and physical database design, database
optimization, load strategy design and implementation, security and change management
7. Identify data/technology needs and create project plans to execute and support the business
strategy.
8. Design and Implement scalable Enterprise Data Architectures and solutions
9. Monitor and report on Data Management activities to ensure key stakeholders are aware of the
Data Management Service performance and that set performance objectives are achieved.
10. Provide subject matter expert on topics related to data management activities. Contributions

include, but are not limited: vendor selection and management, mentoring junior staff, training team
members, leading or contributing to expert working groups, presenting best practices at internal
and external industry meetings, and participating in due diligence assessments;
11. Provides support to technology organization relating to data management and analytics.
12. Work with the IT Support Center and software vendors to support and resolve software
problems;

1. Availability of Corporate Information Management Systems (Based on agreed SLA with the
business)
2. Quality of Information in Information Management Systems (Surveys/feedback)
3. % Availability of Corporate Information Management Systems
4. % of Duplicate files in information stores
5. No of reported cases of Information loss or compromise
6. Efficiency of BI/Data Analytics Systems (search speed/response time of systems)
7. Customer Satisfaction Index
8. Level of activities in IM Systems and platform
5. Job Requirements
Education:
A University degree prefreably in Engineering or Computer Sciences;professional qualifications is
an added advantage.
Experience :
5-7 years post-graduation experience, out of which 3 years should have been in a similar position in
a reputable organization preferably an Oil & Gas company.
