VI. Rationale
The Sports and Development Program together with the BCC-ACES Sports Club
of Buenavista Community College will conduct a Foundation Day Sports Festival.
There are several events/activities to be conducted such as Sports Events
(Basketball & Volleyball) and Larong Pinoy. Which will be played by departments
(COTE, CITE, COHM & CCJE) and other schools (Exhibition Game).
Sports Festival plays a vital role in promoting physical activity, team spirit,
socialization, a sense of camaraderie among students and to promote physical fitness
and healthy competition.
Sports fest is one of the best actions a school can do to boost the camaraderie
among students and employees. Such activities promote unity within the
organization, as well as help workers and students become more productive at work
and school.
VII. Objectives
To build a sense of community within the residential college between students,
staffs and faculties.
To promote camaraderie, athleticism, good sportsmanship to strengthen
teamwork; build character, and teaches respect, honor, discipline, friendliness,
inclusion, resilience and perseverance.
To develop physical fitness and skills, mental alertness and ethical qualities
among athletes.
VIII. Expected Outcome
Developed and enhanced the quality of performance and skills of the students in
different sports. To help them improve their talents through active participation in
different competitions and provide opportunities for high level of skill development
and competitive success. And to become a good citizen in the society.
