Slide One:
XY:
Good morning everyone. I am Xiang Yeong and I’m here with my
team members, Zeng Yan, Chloe and Xin Qi to share with the local
authorities about our plans for a school and why you should
support us in building our school.

Slide Two:
XY: We’ll be talking about the facilities, the subjects, the learning
style, the rules, the co-curriculum, the design for our uniform and
our website.

Slide Three:
CW:
First and foremost, we’re introducing our futuristic school, Alpha
Academy of Coding. Alpha Academy is a coding school dedicated
for passionate students aged from 10 to 18 to learn and explore
different strands of coding that gives us convenience in our
everyday life. Our school will equip them with necessary skills and
knowledge to become the young pioneers of the near future.

Slide Four:
ZY:
Now let me introduce to you our school facilities. Well, Alpha
Academy can’t really be a school without any facilities, can it?
Here’s our lush green park, massive library, cafeteria with aromatic
delicacies, a nice shaded basketball or volleyball court,
multi-purpose rooms for group discussions, a covered hall or
badminton court, peaceful comfortable study areas and finally a
fully shaded swimming pool so you can swim there anytime! Now
let’s take a look at our school site map. (impromptu)

Slide Five:
XY:
Now we’ll talk about our school subjects. There’s only two core
subjects which every student must take, and one of them is
programming languages. As the second core subject, every student
must choose a sport, an instrument or a foreign language to learn.
We chose to do this to ensure that our students can not only excel
in coding, but they can also be actively involved in other fields.

CW:
Furthermore, students are required to take at least one of the
elective subjects here, which are software engineering,
cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.

Slide Six:
ZY:
Allow me to share more on the core subject, Programming
Languages. Programming Languages are crucial tools in coding,
enabling developers to write instructions for computers. Students
will learn about programming languages such as Python, Java and
C++.

Slide Seven:
CW:
This is our school timetable. A typical school day consists of
Programming Languages Theoretical and Practical, The Elective
Subject that the student chooses and a sport, music or foreign
language according to their choice. In Alpha Academy, Fridays are
not schooling days, which means students may stay at home. The
total schooling hours per day is 5.5 hours and free periods are given
to ensure the student’s visual health by giving them a break from
the computers.

Slide Eight:
XY:
About Alpha Academy’s learning style, students can
choose to attend classes online at home or physically at school and
choose if they want to attend group classes of maximum 10 people
or have individual lessons with a teacher for every subject. They
may also jump grades if they are capable of it.

ZY:
In addition, there will be no homework, only a project or
competition will be assigned to students monthly. There will be no
parent-teacher meetings as parents can contact the teacher
directly. There will be a weekly test to ensure the understanding of
the subject and The Exemplary Scholar Award will be awarded to
students whose total test scores are the highest. A test report
containing their child’s weekly assessment results will be sent to
parents every month. Weekly test results add up to their total test
scores at the end of year.

Slide Nine:
CW:
Alpha Academy’s school motto is: ‘Code, Create, Change.’ and in a
school, there will certainly be rules that students have to adhere to.
We want students to take part actively in school events,
communicate kindly, handle the public computers with care, don’t
play games or browsing unrelated websites during classes, work
harmoniously with others, be punctual for classes, finish projects
on time, embrace and accept feedback from others and avoid
plagiarism at all times.

Slide Ten:
XY:
At Alpha Academy, We offer fun and engaging clubs for coding
students to broaden their horizons and not only learn how to code.
We have the (read out from slides) and finally the Hackathon Club,
where our coders gather to develop new approaches to solving
problems or completing large projects that require collaboration.

Slide Eleven:
XQ:
Finally, this is our school uniform, and this is one of our sports club
jerseys. Now, let us show you our school website.

Website:
ZY:
As you can see, I designed Alpha Academy’s website for people
who would like to know more about our school. (show them before
going back to slides)

Slide Twelve:
ZY:
Thank you so much for listening to our ideas and I strongly hope
that the local authorities will support us in the idea of building
Alpha Academy of Coding and contribute to making this society a
state-of-the-art community with leading technological advances
created by our innovative youths!
