1. The following statement shows that actual expenditure incurred on various
account heads at HCM LTD for last three years. Prepare the following
worksheet. Do as the directed by using formulas and formatting features of MS
Excel.

After completion of worksheet, perform the following:
a. Place Title (Budget of HCM LTD) in the centre of the table.
b. Format the heading row of the table in such a way that data is displayed as
given above, i.e. longer text is displayed in more than one line in the same cell.
(Hint: Select the cells and click on (Wrap Text in the Alignment Group of the
Home Tab).
c. Make heading row as BOLD and CENTER
d. Calculate the total expenditure for all the account head for each year in cell C3
to E3. Also calculate average expenditure for last three years in cell F4 and then
drag the formula for all expenses.
e. Draw Border around the Table by Clicking onto BORDER Icon on the Font
Group of HOME tab.
f. Plot a stacked bar chart to display expenditure over 3 years in all categories. Give
suitable chart and axis title.
g. Save the worksheet as BUDGET.
h. Exit form MS Excel.
2. Observe the data given below and do as directed.
a. Enter details as given from cells A1 to D5. Rest of the data is going to be
calculated using formula.
b. Write formula to find out obtained marks by adding practical and theory
marks for all students in cell E3 onwards.
c. Write formula to find out highest marks in class and it must be reflected for
all students.
d. Write formula to find out average marks in class and it must be reflected for
all students.
e. Write formula to find out result ‘pass’ or ‘fail’ on the basis of criteria given in
cell D1.
f. Plot a multicolumn chart for all students comparing their performance with
class average and highest marks.
g. Give suitable title of the chart.
