I. ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS:

1. We should do unto others as we want others to do unto us." Explain the golden rule in your own

treat others the way we want to be treated. It emphasizes empathy and understanding that others,
including animals, have feelings similar to ours.

2. Why was shepherd finding it difficult to drive the flock?

A. The shepherd was finding it difficult to drive the flock because there was a limping lamb in the herd,
making it challenging for the lamb to keep pace with the others.

3. What did Buddha do to help him?

A. Buddha, upon learning about the difficulty the shepherd faced, took the limping lamb on his shoulder
and offered to accompany the shepherd. He showed compassion by actively helping the shepherd and
the struggling lamb.

4. What did Buddha say when the lamb was about to be sacrificed?

A. When the lamb marked for sacrifice was about to be struck, Buddha exclaimed, "Oh great king, stop
the man from striking the lamb. Take my life as a sacrifice but please spare the lamb." Buddha
emphasized the importance of compassion and pleaded for the life of the innocent animal.

5. Which law did the king proclaim in his kingdom?

A. The king, moved by Buddha's words, proclaimed a law the very next day that none shall kill animals
for sacrifice or personal pleasure in his kingdom. This law reflected a commitment to compassion and
respect for all living beings.

1. You find a boy beating a dog with a stick. What would you do?

A. In such a situation, I would intervene immediately to stop the boy from harming the dog. I would
approach calmly but assertively, asking him to cease the actions and explaining the cruelty involved. If
necessary, I would involve authorities or seek help to ensure the safety of the dog.

2. You go to a zoo and find some children are teasing animals. What would you do?

A. I would approach the children and educate them about the importance of treating animals with
respect and kindness. I might explain how teasing can cause stress to the animals and affect their well-
being. If necessary, I would notify zoo staff or security to address the situation appropriately.
3. Have you ever helped any animal? If yes, write down that incident in your own words.

A. (This question requires a personal response based on your own experiences. If you haven't had a
specific incident, you can create a scenario a general instance where you helped an animal, like feeding
stray animals or rescuing an injured bird.)

people?

A. There are several ways to contribute to the well-being of animals:
