society is maintained and it is possible to build a better society. We all should respect
our own and other religions.

It is the duty of all of us to observe our own religion as well as to show respect to the
religious beliefs and practices of others. By developing a respectful attitude towards
each other, it is possible to establish a prosperous, prosperous and peaceful society.

Although Bangladesh is a secular state, the situation of religious tolerance here has
faced challenges at various times. Although the country's social system has historically
seen peaceful coexistence between the majority of Muslims and the minorities of
Hindus, Buddhists, Christians and other religions, there are occasional incidents of
communal tension, violence and discrimination.

03
Challenges:
Communal violence:
Attacks, vandalism and land grabbing on Hindu, Buddhist, Christian and tribal
communities are frequent, threatening religious tolerance.

Hate speech:
There is a growing trend of spreading hate propaganda and false information on social
media to create tension.

Lack of law enforcement:

Prosecution and redress of communal crimes are often slow, often depriving victims of
justice.

Political influence:
Sometimes religion is used for political purposes to create divisions.

Potential for improvement:

Strong law enforcement and speedy justice to ensure the safety of religious minorities.
