III. METHODOLOGIES

A. Preliminary Activities

The teacher will start the lesson by presenting the previous topic about Living
with the Artist. Ask students to discuss their idea regarding to their previous
lesson about Living with the Artist. This will set the stage for the new lesson on
arts. (5 minutes)

B. Motivation
 Show a short video clip (3-5 minutes) that shows the different products that
promotes the traditional and contemporary arts in the Philippines. After the video,
ask students what are the things they see or observed in the video that they’ve
watch.

C. Establishing a purpose for the lesson


Present the objective of the lesson to the learners using PowerPoint presentation.
The learners should be able to:
1. Understand the production process and the changing environment of
traditional and contemporary arts.
2. Identify the different support systems of art in the different regions.
3. Promote traditional and contemporary arts from the regions and
4. Express appreciation in arts through promoting arts in the contemporary world.

D. Presenting Examples/Instances of new lesson


(10 mins) Start with an Activity “Show me a Picture”
 Show to the class a picture about the different products of the Filipinos in
different regions. Ask them their views regarding the image.
 Ask the students regarding their thoughts using these questions that will
eventually lead to the lesson:
1. Why do we need to preserve our arts and culture in the modern world?
2. In your opinion, why is it important to have natural art center in the
Philippines?

E. Discussing new concepts and practicing new skills #1


(15 mins)
Discuss to the class the new concept about Promotions of Arts from the Regions.
In this lesson, we need to understand the contexts where these artworks
come from. Moreover, in order to gain a deeper understanding on how we
will promote the traditional and contemporary arts, we need to learn how the
changing environment affect the production process of the artworks of
indigenous peoples or artists.

Discuss additional concepts about Living with the Artist:
o The Production Process and the Changing Environment
o Support Systems of Philippine Art

G. Developing mastery
(15 mins) Question and Answer on specific questions:
1. What are the production process and the changing environment?
2. What are the support systems of the Philippine art?

H. Finding practical applications of concepts and skills in daily living


(5 mins) This lesson will teach us everything about Promotions of Arts from the
Regions. Some factors that affect the traditional or contemporary
artist’s production process will also be included.
The traditional and contemporary artists’ mode of production continues to be
affected with the dynamics of change in the environment. Nonetheless,
environment is considered of its utmost importance – this is where resources are
gathered and shared, and where culture is performed.

understanding about the lesson. Write your answer on your answer
sheet..
 Directions: Identify and group the following support systems indicated in the
box below whether it is an institution, museum, art fair, gallery, or an award-
giving body. Write your answer on your answer sheet.
 Activity: Save your art today, in the future it becomes a history
 Multiple Choice. . Read each item carefully. Choose the letter of the correct
answer. Write your answers on a separate sheet of paper
IV. ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES FOR APPLICATION OR REMEDIATION
At the end of discussion and presentation of the lesson, the learners will be
answers the following activity from module 8 about Promotions of Arts from the
Regions.
 Directions: Read and examine this statement of Missy Writes (2017)
about the promotion of art in the Philippines. Afterwards, answer and
do the following indicated questions and task. Write your answer on
your answer sheet.
