CONSTITUTION
OF

FAZA
WOMEN COOPERATIVE
INTRODUCTION
FAZA WOMEN COOPERATIVE is an organized women movement whose
aim is to train and empower women in the areas of animal rearing, milk
production fish farming etc.
So also, to engage in government sensitization campaign in
support/against any policy for the betterment of the society especially those
that deals with women.
It is for this reason that, members of the union adopt this constitution
as a guide

ARTICLE ONE: NAME


The name of the foundation should be: FAZA WOMEN COOPERATIVE
Address: Wauru Jabbe Kilbaji (B) Yola South

ARTICLE TWO: AIMS AND OBJECTIVES


1. The main aim and objective of this foundation shall at all times
to promote unity and enhance economic and social well being
of it’s members.
2. To encourage and support women to meet up their
responsibilities and potentiality.
3. To assist another whenever the need arises.
4. To ensure good upbringing of women in term of education,
business and skill acquisition

ARTICLE THREE MEMBERSHIP


i. Membership is open to all women and orphans of proven integrity.
ii. The sum of N1000 must be paid for registration before considered as
member.
iii. A member should also pay the sum of N500 monthly as due.

ARTICLE FOUR: EXCUTIVE


i. President
ii. Vice president
iii. Secretary
iv. Assistant secretary
v. Financial secretary
vi. Treasurer
vii. P.R.O
viii. Auditor
ix. Patron
x. Discipline
xi. Adviser

PRESIDENT
1. The president should preside over all meetings other than those
standing committee.
2. Shall direct the secretary to summon meetings to executives at the
appropriate time.
3. Shall direct other officers of the cooperation to perform his duty at her
absence
4. Shall adopted all minutes as recorded by the secretary.
5. Shall represent the cooperation appropriately.

VICE PRESIDENT
1. Shall preside over all meeting in the absence of the present
2. Assist the president and perform other duties assigned.

SECRETARY
1. The minute of the meeting of the cooperation
2. Write and dispatch letters or others correspondence in accordance
with the decision taken by the members
3. Shall be one of the association account signatories.
ASSISTANCE SECRETARY
Assist the secretary general in her absence and shall act in her
capacity.

FINANCIAL SECRETARY
1. Shall keep accurate record of all financial transaction of the
cooperation account
2. Assist the treasurer in the preparation of the financial statement
and report for the presentation to executives council and annual
general meeting.

TREASURER
1. Shall be the custodian of the cooperation money and pass book
2. Shall keep the impressive account of the cooperation
3. Shall give out money only approved by the president
4. Shall be trustee to the association.

PUBLIC RELATON OFFICER


1. Shall disseminate information about the cooperation to the members
2. Monitor publication of the cooperation in the press of organs of the
mass media
3. Perform other duties as maybe assigned by the executive council.

AUDITOR
Shall audit all expenses and revenue of the association and shall
report to cooperation expressing the time and fair view of the
expenditure by the cooperation for the period under review.

ARTICLE FIVE: MEETING

i. The executive council members shall hold meetings at least


once a week and often as they consider necessary
ii. The president should call general meeting of members once a
week or as maybe determined by the cooperation as the need
arises
iii. Meeting will be hosted by members on rotational basis
accordingly.

ARTICLE SIX: RIGHT AND PREVELAGES


Member who attend meetings and pay their dues regularly as well as
abiding by constitution shall be entitled to all right and privilege, which the
cooperation may provide from time to time.

ARTICLE SEVEN: BENEFIF AND ELEGEBILITY


i. The cooperation render assistance to any member whenever the
need arises
ii. Death of members child, husband on child, a members shall
contribute the sum of N200
iii. Wedding of a member or child N200
iv. Naming ceremony N200
v. Above the specific amount is acceptable

ARTICLE EIGHT: QUALIFICATION FOR ELECTION


Any candidate that will be aspiring for a position in the cooperation shall:
i. Be a member of the cooperation for at least one year and been
punctual to payment of dues
ii. Have contributed meaning full to the development of the cooperation
iii. Most have at least 70% percent attendance in the activities of the
cooperation
iv. Any candidate aspiring for the post of the president and secretary
must be part of the last governing body.

ARTICLE NINE: ASSUMPTION OF OFFICER


i. The newly elected executives shall assume office immediately
after swearing in
ii. Hand over note shall be read during general meeting
iii. All records should be correctly interpreted by any officer handling
the matters
iv. The presidents, secretary, financial secretary and the treasure
should provide all financial document and other asset and
announce the bank balance before vacating office.

ARTICLE TEN: AMMENDEMENT OF THE CONSTITUTION


This shall be possible when need arises, the procedures are as follows:
i. It shall be tabled at a general meeting
ii. A notification of proposed amendment shall be known to
members at a month prior to the general meeting
iii. It shall require a two-third (2/3) majority of the vote cast

ARTICLE ELEVEN: GENERAL CONDUCT


i. Absentees shall be fine N100
ii. Late comers will be fine N100
iii. Noise makers will also be fine N100.
