Welcome and Introduction by MC

(enters warmly, addressing the audience with a big

smile)
“Good day, ladies and gentlemen, moms and dads,
grandmas and grandpas, and all our wonderful guests!
On behalf of our school, I want to welcome you to this
year’s Nativity play—a celebration of love, joy, and the
greatest story ever told!

We are thrilled to have you here, and I can see from the
sparkle in your eyes that you’re just as excited as we
are. Today, our amazing children will take you on a
journey back in time to the very first Christmas.

But before we dive in, let’s set some expectations. First,

we encourage you to laugh, clap, cheer, and yes—be a
little proud when you see your star performer on stage.
Second, don’t worry if there are tiny giggles or
whispered lines—it’s all part of the charm!

Now, sit back, relax, and let’s begin. Get ready to enjoy
a heartwarming performance that reminds us all of the
true meaning of Christmas.”
(pauses and looks around with a playful grin)
“Quick tip for the parents in the front row: keep your
tissues handy—you might need them!”
Scene 1: Zechariah and the Angel

Narrator:

Long ago, there was a priest named Zechariah. He and

his wife, Elizabeth, loved God and always prayed for a
child. One day, Zechariah was chosen to serve in the
temple.

Scene 2: Angel Gabriel Visits Mary

MC:
"Alright, everyone, let’s begin our journey back in
time—right in the heart of Nazareth! Imagine, a quiet
town, and then—BOOM! An angel appears with some
incredible news. Let’s see how Mary reacts to this
heavenly visitor!"

Narrator:
"A long time ago, in the town of Nazareth, there
lived a young woman named Mary. One day, an angel
named Gabriel appeared to her. He brought astonishing
news: she was going to have a child, and this child
would be the Son of God. Though Mary was initially
confused and frightened, she accepted the message
with faith, trusting in God’s plan."

---

Scene 2: Joseph Has a Dream

MC:
"Now, we need to check in with Joseph. Poor guy,
he’s just found out some shocking news. But don't
worry, he's about to get a divine intervention, and trust
me—it’s going to make everything better!"

Narrator:
"Joseph, Mary’s fiancé, discovered she was
expecting a child. He was a kind man and didn’t want to
disgrace her, so he decided to quietly end their
engagement. But before he could act, an angel
appeared to him in a dream, explaining that the child
was from the Holy Spirit. Joseph listened and took Mary
as his wife, trusting God’s guidance."

Scene 4: Mary and Elizabeth

MC:
"Now, Mary, with all this news, needs to share it
with someone! So she heads off to visit her cousin
Elizabeth. But what happens when these two women,
both with a miraculous blessing, get together?"

Narrator:
"After receiving the angel’s message, Mary went to
visit her cousin Elizabeth, who was also expecting.
When they met, Elizabeth’s baby leaped in her womb,
and she was filled with the Holy Spirit. She praised Mary
for her faith, and together, they rejoiced in God’s
miraculous work."

---

Scene 5: Caesar’s Decree

MC:
"Now, hold onto your seats, folks! This next part
might sound a little crazy—Caesar Augustus, the ruler of
the empire, sends out a decree that will change
everything for Mary and Joseph. This is where things
start to move quickly!"

Narrator:
"At the time, Caesar Augustus, the ruler of the
Roman Empire, issued a decree that a census should be
taken. This required Joseph and Mary to travel to
Bethlehem, even though Mary was soon to give birth.
Upon arriving, they found no room in the inns, so they
sought refuge in a stable, where Mary gave birth to
Jesus."

---

Scene 6: The Birth of Jesus

MC:
"And now, the moment we've all been waiting for—
baby Jesus is born! Get ready for a beautiful, peaceful
scene—just imagine how special this night must have
been."

Narrator:
"That night, in a humble stable, baby Jesus was
born. With no room for them in the inn, Mary laid Him
in a manger. A star shone brightly over the stable,
marking the birth of the Savior. It was a quiet night, but
this event would change the world forever."
---

Scene 7: The Shepherds

MC:
"Meanwhile, in the fields nearby, something truly
magical happens—an angel shows up to some humble
shepherds. And, if you think that’s incredible, wait until
you see the heavenly choir that joins in!"

Narrator:
"Out in the fields, shepherds were watching over
their flocks when suddenly, an angel appeared to them.
The glory of the Lord shone around them, and the angel
announced the birth of Jesus. Suddenly, a host of angels
filled the sky, singing praises to God: 'Glory to God in
the highest, and on earth peace to those on whom His
favor rests.' The shepherds hurried to find Mary, Joseph,
and the newborn child, and they praised God for all
they had seen."
---

Scene 8: King Herod and the Three Wise Men

MC:
"Hold on, things get a little intense here—King
Herod hears about the newborn King, and he’s not too
happy about it. But don’t worry, the wise men are here
to save the day with their gifts and wisdom!"

Narrator:
"When Jesus was born in Bethlehem, wise men
from the East followed a star to find the newborn King.
They came to King Herod, asking where the King of the
Jews had been born. Herod, feeling threatened, secretly
asked the wise men to find the child and report back.
But the wise men, guided by the star, found Jesus and
presented Him with gifts of gold, frankincense, and
myrrh. Afterward, they were warned in a dream not to
return to Herod, so they went home another way.

"An angel then appeared to Joseph, telling him to

flee to Egypt with Mary and Jesus, to escape Herod's
wrath. They stayed in Egypt until Herod died and
returned to Nazareth, where Jesus grew in wisdom and
favor with both God and man."

---

Conclusion

MC:
"And that, dear friends, is the story of the very first
Christmas. A story of hope, faith, and the gift of love.
We thank you for joining us in celebrating this special
moment in history. Let’s give our children another round
of applause for their amazing performance!"

Narrator:
"Thus ends the story of Jesus’ birth, the Savior sent
to bring peace to the world. A story of hope that has
touched lives for generations. May His light shine in our
hearts today and always."
