Institute Vision
To be an autonomous institution offering multidisciplinary quality education
programs aligned with provisions of NEP 2020 and satisfy stakeholders’ needs.
Institute Mission
MI: To achieve excellence in academics, research, and services continuously improving
the quality
‘M2: To ensure the wholesome development of students implementing the provisions of
NEP 2020.
M3: To develop professional ethics, universal human values, constitutional values, and
21st century skills in students
M4: To observe provisions of quality education declared by the accreditation agencies.1. Introduction
The internal assessment system aims to evaluate students’ understanding of the subject matter through
structured class tests. These tests assess students on all Course Outcomes (COs) and Bloom’s
Taxonomy Levels (BTLs), ensuring a comprehensive evaluation.
2. Class Test Structure
«Two class tests will be conducted every semester.
+ The syllabus for each test is divided as follows:
co Class Test 1: Covers Units 1 to 3
co Class Test 2: Covers Units 4 to 6
‘+ Each class test carries a total of 30 marks.
3. Marking and Conversion Criteria
For First-Year Students:
© The 30 marks obtained in each class test will be converted to 10 marks.
«The maximum internal marks from class tests for each subject will be 10 marks.
For Second-Year Students:
«The 30 marks obtained in each class test will be converted to 10 marks.
«After both tests, the total internal marks for the subject will be 10 + 10 = 20 marks.
4, Assessment Criteria
© Questions will be designed to assess all levels of Bloom's Taxonomy (BTL), ensuring a mix of
knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis, and evaluation.
+ Course Outcomes (COs) will be mapped to the test questions to ensure holistic learning.
5. General Instructions
«Students must appear for both class tests to be eligible for the final internal marks.
+ The final internal assessment marks will be based strictly on performance in the class tests, and
no additional marks will be allotted for assignments or attendance unless specified.
6. Implementation & Compliance
+ Faculty members must ensure that class tests are conducted as per schedule and maintain
transparency in evaluation.
+ The Academic Dean and Examination Coordinator will oversee the assessment process and
address any grievances related to internal marks.
+ Any changes to the internal assessment guidelines will be communicated in advance.
