1. INTRODUCTION
This report documents my experience as an intern at Mittal Finance and Investment Services, a
distinguished financial institution specializing in loans, investments, and insurance services.
Over the course of my internship, I was entrusted with a variety of tasks, each aimed at
enhancing the company’s operational efficiency and expanding its digital footprint.
Throughout this internship, I was given the opportunity to immerse myself in the intricacies of
the financial services industry, while also honing my technical skills in web development and
digital marketing. From conducting in-depth research on hosting services and website design
to assisting in seminar preparations and analyzing employee feedback, my experience was both
diverse and enriching.
In this report, I will take you through my journey as an intern at Mittal Finance and Investment
Services. I will detail the projects I worked on, the challenges I faced, and the valuable lessons
I learned along the way. This experience has not only broadened my understanding of the
financial sector but has also equipped me with practical skills that will be invaluable in my
future career.
Mittal Finance and Investment Services, established in January 2024, is a financial institution
focused on providing practical and tailored financial solutions. During my internship here, I
observed how the company, under the leadership of Sangita Agarwal, effectively addresses the
diverse financial needs of its clients. With her 12 years of experience in the banking, insurance,
and investment sectors, Sangita Agarwal has guided the company to quickly become a reliable
player in the financial industry.
The company’s approach is centered on understanding and meeting the specific requirements
of its clients, whether it’s finding suitable loan options, developing investment strategies, or
offering comprehensive insurance plans. This focus on customization ensures that clients
receive services that are well-suited to their individual situations.

The team at Mittal Finance consists of experienced professionals, including former bankers and
industry specialists. This collective expertise enables the company to provide sound financial

Additionally, Mittal Finance’s partnerships with major Indian private and national banks, as well

During my internship at Mittal Finance and Investment Services, I had the opportunity to

Website Development Projects: One of the primary areas of focus during my internship was
website development. I was involved in assisting with the design, coding, and modification of

branding. Through this, I gained hands-on experience with web technologies and learned how

2. OBSERVATIONS AND PROBLEM STATEMENT
2.1. Observation
Throughout my internship at Mittal Finance and Investment Services, I gained valuable insights
into the workings of a financial services company, particularly in the areas of digital marketing,
web development, and client interaction. Here are some key observations I made during my
time with the company:
1. The Importance of a Strong Digital Presence: One of the most significant observations was
the critical role that a well-designed and functional website plays in establishing a company’s
credibility. In today’s digital age, clients often make their first impression based on a company’s
online presence. A website that is easy to navigate, visually appealing, and informative can
significantly influence a client’s decision to engage with the company. This highlighted the
importance of our work in designing and optimizing the website to meet both user expectations
and business goals.
2. The Strategic Role of Social Media in Brand Building: I observed how social media
platforms serve as powerful tools for brand visibility and customer engagement. The
company’s efforts to maintain an active presence on platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, and
Instagram demonstrated how targeted content and strategic ad placements can effectively reach
and engage potential clients. The continuous monitoring and optimization of these campaigns
are essential to maintaining relevance and maximizing impact.
5. The Necessity of Continuous Learning and Adaptation: The financial services industry is
dynamic, with constant changes in regulations, market conditions, and client expectations. I

noticed that the company placed a strong emphasis on staying updated with the latest trends
and continuously adapting its strategies to remain competitive. This culture of learning and
flexibility was evident in the team’s approach to problem-solving and innovation.
These observations not only provided me with a deeper understanding of the financial services
industry but also underscored the importance of adaptability, strategic thinking, and

was ensuring that the company’s website was not only visually appealing but also user-friendly
and functional. The problem was that the existing website had a layout that was somewhat
outdated and difficult to navigate, which could potentially lead to a poor user experience. The
challenge was to redesign the website to improve navigation, responsiveness across devices,
and overall user experience, while still maintaining the company’s brand identity.
2. Enhancing Social Media Engagement: Another problem statement was related to the
company’s social media presence. While Mittal Finance had accounts on several platforms, the
level of engagement and visibility was not as high as desired. The problem was to identify the
reasons for low engagement and develop strategies to increase interaction with the target
audience. This involved analyzing existing content, understanding audience preferences, and
optimizing ad campaigns to reach a broader and more relevant audience.
3. Creating Consistent and Effective Marketing Content: Developing marketing content that
was both consistent with the company’s brand message and effective in reaching potential
clients posed a significant challenge. The problem was to create content that resonated with
different segments of the company’s audience—ranging from individual investors to small
business owners—while maintaining a unified brand voice. This required a deep

understanding of the audience’s needs and the ability to tailor messages accordingly.
4. Selecting the Right Web Hosting Service: During the planning phase of the website
development project, we faced the challenge of selecting an appropriate web hosting service.
The problem was to find a hosting service that provided the right balance of cost, performance,
security, and scalability to support the company’s online presence. This required thorough
research and comparison of various hosting providers, as well as considering future growth
and traffic needs.
5. Balancing Traditional and Digital Marketing Strategies: Another challenge was determining
the right mix between traditional and digital marketing strategies. While the company had
traditionally relied on word-of-mouth and local advertising, there was a growing need to expand
into digital marketing to reach a wider audience. The problem was to develop a marketing
strategy that effectively integrated both traditional and digital channels, ensuring that resources

management and resource allocation became a critical issue. The problem was to prioritize
tasks in a way that allowed for the timely completion of projects without compromising quality.
This included managing the demands of website development, content creation, social media
management, and other assigned tasks, while also allowing time for learning and professional
development.
These problem statements provided me with opportunities to develop critical thinking and
problem-solving skills, which were essential in navigating the challenges of the internship and
contributing to the company’s goals.

3. WORK DONE
During my internship at Mittal Finance and Investment Services, I was involved in several key
projects that were crucial to the company’s digital transformation. My primary responsibility
was developing the company’s website from scratch, which included designing the layout,
coding the frontend using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and building the backend with
technologies like Node.js and MySQL. The aim was to create a userfriendly, responsive, and
secure website that effectively showcased the company’s services and facilitated client
interactions. Additionally, I conducted comprehensive research on various web hosting
services, focusing on performance, security, cost, and scalability. This research was
instrumental in selecting a hosting provider that met the company’s needs and supported the
website’s longterm growth. I also worked on implementing a secure backend system, which
involved setting up user authentication processes, managing client data, and ensuring
compliance with data protection regulations. Furthermore, I contributed to the creation of
marketing content for the website, including drafting text, designing visuals, and ensuring that
all content aligned with the company’s branding and messaging. These projects collectively
contributed to the successful establishment of Mittal Finance’s online presence.

One of the significant responsibilities during my internship at Mittal Finance and Investment
Services was organizing and facilitating a seminar on the Indian taxation system. This
seminar was held at the Phugewadi Metro Station Office in Pune, Maharashtra, and was
aimed at civil engineers working at the office. The primary focus of the seminar was to educate
the attendees on the intricacies of the Indian taxation system and to demonstrate how they
could benefit from it by investing efficiently.
Seminar Preparation and Presentation Development: The preparation for the seminar
involved several key tasks. Our team was responsible for creating an informative and engaging
presentation that would effectively communicate the essential points of the Indian taxation
system. The presentation covered various aspects, including taxsaving investment options, tax
planning strategies, and the benefits of understanding and utilizing the tax system to one’s
advantage. We ensured that the content was tailored to the audience of civil engineers, making
it relevant to their specific financial needs and goals.
Technical Support and Logistics: On the day of the seminar, I was tasked with providing
technical support to ensure that the presentation ran smoothly. This included setting up the
necessary audiovisual equipment, troubleshooting any technical issues that arose, and ensuring
that the presentation was displayed correctly to the audience. My role was crucial in maintaining
the flow of the seminar and ensuring that the presenters could focus on delivering the content
without any technical distractions.
Explaining the Company’s Services: During the seminar, some attendees arrived late and
missed the initial presentation. I took the initiative to explain the company’s services and the
core points of the presentation to these individuals. This involved summarizing the key aspects
of the seminar, highlighting how Mittal Finance and Investment Services could assist them
in making informed investment decisions, and answering any questions they had about the
company’s offerings. This personal interaction helped ensure that all attendees, regardless of
when they arrived, received the full benefit of the seminar.
Overall, the seminar at Phugewadi Metro Station was a comprehensive exercise in planning,
technical execution, and client engagement. It provided a valuable opportunity to apply my

skills in a realworld setting and contributed to the financial literacy of the participants.
After the seminar, our team undertook a thorough analysis of the feedback we received from
the attendees. The feedback forms were instrumental in understanding the strengths and
weaknesses of our presentation. We meticulously reviewed the responses to gauge how well
the seminar was received and identify areas where we could improve.

Feedback Analysis: One of the key observations from the feedback was that while the content
was wellreceived and informative, audience engagement varied significantly across the room.
Attendees seated at the front were more involved, participating actively in discussions and
asking questions. However, those seated at the back were less engaged, which indicated that
our seminar could have been more inclusive in addressing the entire audience.
We also discussed how the seminar could have been more responsive and engaging overall.
Incorporating more interactive elements, such as realtime polls or QA sessions spread
throughout the presentation, could keep the audience actively involved. Additionally, varying
the pace of the seminar and incorporating visual aids or practical examples relevant to civil
engineers could make the content more relatable and engaging.
Continuous Improvement: This postseminar evaluation was crucial for our team’s growth
and the continuous improvement of our seminar offerings. By acknowledging the aspects that
worked well and those that didn’t, we could refine our approach for future seminars. Our goal is
to create an experience that not only educates but also actively engages all participants, ensuring
that everyone leaves with valuable insights they can apply to their financial planning.
Overall, the postseminar work was a valuable learning experience, highlighting the importance
of feedback in enhancing the effectiveness of our presentations and improving audience

After the seminar, we entered an intensive training period designed to familiarize us with the
core operations of Mittal Finance and Investment Services. This phase was crucial in building a
solid foundation of knowledge that would enable us to contribute effectively to the company’s
projects.
Understanding Company Operations: During this period, our mentors walked us through
the basics of how the company functions, focusing on key financial services such as loans,
investments, and insurance. We learned about the different types of loans offered by the
company, the process of assessing a client’s financial health, and the criteria for loan approval.
Investments were another major focus, where we explored various investment options
available to clients, including mutual funds, fixed deposits, and marketlinked investments.

Insurance was the third pillar of our training. We were taught the intricacies of different
insurance products, including life, health, and general insurance. The training covered how
insurance policies are structured, how premiums are calculated, and the importance of tailoring

entire server for exclusive use; and cloud hosting, known for its scalability and reliability.
Storage Capacity: We analyzed the storage offered in each plan, ranging from basic SSD
storage to more advanced options for handling large amounts of data efficiently.
Bandwidth: We reviewed the bandwidth allocation, essential for ensuring that the website
could handle a large volume of traffic without performance degradation.
Uptime Guarantee: A critical factor, as higher uptime percentages ensure that the website
remains accessible to users at all times. Providers with 99.9 percentage or higher uptime
guarantees were prioritized.
Security Features: We assessed the security measures offered, including SSL certificates for
secure data transmission, DDoS protection to prevent cyberattacks, regular backups, and
firewall protections.
Support Services: The availability and quality of customer support were crucial, as prompt
assistance is necessary for resolving technical issues. We looked for 24/7 support, live chat
options, and the availability of technical expertise.

We meticulously analyzed the pricing structures of each hosting service provider, taking into

how well they aligned with the company’s requirements:

including the anticipated traffic to the website, the importance of uptime, and the need for robust

development of the company’s website.

intuitive layouts with clear navigation. Information is often organized into distinct sections
(e.g., services, about us, contact) to make it easy for users to find what they’re looking for.
Breadcrumbs and drop-down menus were common features that enhanced user experience by
providing a clear path through the site.
Visual Hierarchy: Effective use of visual hierarchy was a consistent feature, with important
information such as call-to-action (CTA) buttons, contact forms, and key service offerings
placed prominently on the page. Websites often used large, bold fonts for headings and kept
the overall design minimal to avoid overwhelming the user.
Responsiveness: We noted that top-tier financial websites were highly responsive, meaning
they adapted seamlessly to different devices, including smartphones and tablets. Given the
increasing number of users accessing websites on mobile devices, responsive design was
identified as a critical feature for our website.
We also focused on understanding the user experience (UX) best practices employed by these
websites. Key insights included:
Ease of Use: Websites with a simple, clutter-free design and easy-to-understand language
performed better in terms of user engagement. Complex jargon and overly technical

information were generally avoided in favor of clear, concise communication.
Accessibility: Ensuring that the website is accessible to all users, including those with
disabilities, was a priority. We looked at how existing websites incorporated features such as
alternative text for images, keyboard-friendly navigation, and compliance with Web Content
Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
Understanding how colors affect emotions and influence user behavior was another key aspect
of our research. We reviewed several academic papers and industry reports that highlighted the
psychological effects of different colors and how they can be leveraged in website design:
Blue: Often associated with trust, security, and professionalism, blue is a common color in
finance-related websites. It evokes a sense of calm and reliability, making it ideal for a company
like Mittal Finance that wants to establish credibility and trust with its clients.
Green: Linked to wealth, growth, and prosperity, green is frequently used in investment and
financial planning websites. It suggests financial stability and growth, aligning with the goals
of clients seeking financial advice and services.
White: White space was identified as crucial for creating a clean, uncluttered look. It helps to
highlight key content and makes the website feel open and easy to navigate. The use of white
space also contributes to a modern, professional appearance.
Black:Black conveys authority, sophistication, and elegance, making it ideal for high-end,
professional designs. It adds mystery and formality, offers timeless appeal, and enhances
contrast, but should be used carefully to avoid negative connotations.
Accent Colors: Accent colors, such as orange or yellow, were recommended for highlighting
CTAs and other important elements. These colors can draw attention without overwhelming the
user, encouraging them to take desired actions like signing up for a service or contacting the
company.
Based on our research, we proposed a color scheme that aligns with the psychological principles

4. CONCLUSION
My internship at Mittal Finance and Investment Services, alongside my colleagues Mohit and
Abhishek, has been a highly enriching experience that has significantly shaped our
understanding of the financial services industry. Under the guidance of our mentor, Krishna
Temkar, we were able to contribute meaningfully to several key projects while also enhancing
our technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
A major highlight of our internship was our collective involvement in the company’s digital

on the Indian taxation system, aimed at educating civil engineers on tax-saving strategies and

management while also honing our ability to convey complex information in a clear and
accessible manner.
Throughout this internship, the mentorship of Krishna Temkar was instrumental in guiding us
