(Do not read the headings)
I. Welcoming Note
Ladies and gentlemen, we extend a warm welcome to our esteemed Principal, to the
Annual Poetry in Action event for the 2024-2025 academic year. Today, our
institution, PISJES, proudly presents the contemporary genre Poetry in Action
highlighting our commitment to innovation. This event is a culmination of our
students' dedication and hard work, both on stage and behind the scenes. We are
delighted to have you join us for a series of captivating performances that showcase
our students' talents beyond the academic sphere.
II. Opening
We will begin today's event with a recitation from the Holy Quran by
____________, followed by a translation by ____________.
III. National Anthem
Next, let us rise to honor the spirit of our nation with the National Anthem.
As a Chinese proverb says, "Tell me and I will forget, show me and I may remember,
involve me and I will understand." This proverb encapsulates the profound impact
of drama in literature, where significant change and revolutions have often been
sparked by the messages conveyed on stage. Our genre today, a blend of poetry and
acting could foster empathy, self-awareness among other useful traits. Moreover, an
on-stage team performance could be an effective tool for preparing students to thrive
in a world that increasingly values teamwork over hierarchy.
IV. Principal's Address
As we continue, it's important to recognize that a mentor is someone who sees
greater potential and ability within you than you see in yourself and helps bring it
out.
With that in mind, we are honored to invite the Principal of PISJES, Sir Adnan Nasir,
to the stage to share his thoughts on this special occasion.
Thank you, Sir, for your inspiring words.
