interview questions. Speak clearly and
confidently, maintain eye contact,
and listen with all your attention.

complaining or appearing
disinterested.
The Fix:
Focus on the positive. Frame your
experiences as lessons learned. Show
enthusiasm for the opportunity.
4. Not Asking Questions:

Failing to show curiosity about the
company and the position.

Prepare insightful questions that
demonstrate your thoughtfulness
(and offer your POV) e.g. How do
you measure success?
5. Forgetting to Follow Up:

Always send a thank-you email
within 24 hours, expressing your
gratitude and reiterating your
interest in the position.

Revealing excessive personal

qualifications and career goals. Avoid
discussing personal relationships,
health issues or political beliefs.
7. Not Tailoring Your

Offering generic responses that do

the role or company.

how your skills and experience align
with their needs. Provide specific
examples.

Salary and Benefits:

primary focus, especially in the early
stages of the interview process.
The Fix:
Prioritize demonstrating your value
and enthusiasm for the opportunity.
Trust that if they are interested,
salary discussions will come.
