Simple resent

18
The Simple Present tense is used to talk about facts and daily routine (things that are true and things
that happen with certain frequency). In this case, we often use “action verbs” and auxiliaries “do” and
“does”. In order to use the simple present tense properly, it is important to know that:
*Auxiliaries are mainly used to make questions, negative sentences and short answers.
* Do is used with “I, you, we and they” Does is used with “he, she and it”.
* In affirmative sentences with he,she and it, we add “s, es, or ies” to the main verb of the
sentence, according to the verb ending. E.g. come --- comes, fix --- fixes, study --- studies. Except: have
--- has.
