WRITING – is the process of using symbols (letters of the alphabet, punctuation

and spaces) to communicate thoughts and ideas in a readable form.

Writing Skills – These are the abilities to clearly communicate ideas. Writing
skills include all the knowledge and abilities related to expressing ideas through
the written word.

Educational Space or Learning Space– this refers to a physical setting

for a learning environment, a place in which teaching and learning occur.
THE WRITING PROCESS:

How you write depends on:

Who you are writing to (your reader or your audience);
Why are you writing (your purpose);
What are you writing about (your content);
Where and when you are writing (the situation).
THE APPLICATION:
IN AND OUT OF EDUCATIONAL SPACES

Multimedia
◈ is a combination of more than one medium type such as text (alphabetic
or numeric), symbols, images, pictures, audio, video, and animations
usually with the aid of technology for the purpose of enhancing
understanding or memorization (Guan et al., 2018).
◈ It supports verbal instruction with the use of static and dynamic images in
form of visualization technology for better expression and comprehension
(Alemdag and Cagiltay, 2018; Chen and Liu, 2008).

STRATEGIES AND PURPOSEFUL WAYS TO INCORPORATE MEDIA

INTO INSTRUCTION:
1. Show students examples of multimedia tools used for specific strategic
purposes and explain those purposes.
2. Talk with students about how these multimedia tools enhance writing.

3. Give students suggestions for effectively incorporating specific forms of

multimedia in their own works.
4. Confer with students as they integrate specific multimedia tools into their
pieces.

5. Ask students to reflect on how the multimedia they incorporated enhanced

their works.
What a teacher writes
on the blackboard of
life can never be
erased.
