Note:
1. The minimum differential increases with the setpoint. The differential values mentioned in the
above table are approximate maximum for FSR. The differential value will vary according to the
pressure range selected and microswitch type. For actual values of differential please contact sales
office.
2.When using 2SPDT switching arrangement, both microswitches may not actuate and/or deactuate at
the same point. A small stage gap, normally upto +/- 5% FSR (depending on range code) may be
observed. The On-Off differential (hysterisis) typically tends to be atleast double of those published
for 1SPDT pressure switches.
If actuation and/or deactuation at same point is critical part of operation, then it can be achieved by
using a separate DPDT relay. This relay will need a separate power supply for it’s coil.

 Displacer Type Level Switch
Sapcon displacement type level switches offer the industrial user a wide choice of alarm
and control configurations. Each unit utilizes a simple buoyancy principle and is well
suited for simple or complex applications, such as foaming or surging liquids or agitated
fluids, and usually costs less than other types of level switches.

Principle
A single standard or two split displacers are suspended from a wire rope
and connected to a coupler rod, carrying an actuator moving within a
nonmagnetic barrier tube via a compression spring. Initially when the
displacer is not immersed in liquid, the spring is in compressed condition
due to weight of the displacer so that the actuator is outside the magnetic
field at position P1. During rising level, the displacer gets immersed in
liquid,undergoes weight loss (Archimedes Principle) causing an upward
motion of the coupler rod, which makes the spring assume its original
status and move the actuator to position P2 within the magnetic field,
resulting in actuation of micro switches, to provide change over contacts.

Narrow or wide level ranges are achieved through multiple switch
mechanis capability. Maximum process temperature: +260 °C (500 °F).
Maximum process pressure: 55,1 bar (800 psi).
S.G. is as low as 0.4 kg/dm3.
Displacers are adjustable at any point along the suspension cable.
The anti-surge design eliminates the possibility of switch
short cycling. Standard 3 m (10 ft) of suspension cable,
included for all models.
