When We are Implementing SAP S/4HANA solution, we can migrate our master data and business data
from SAP systems or non-SAP systems to SAP S/4HANA. By using SAP S/4HANA migration cockpit.
The SAP S/4HANA migration cockpit uses migration objects to identify and transfer the relevant data. A
migration object describes how to migrate data for a specific business object to SAP S/4HANA. It contains
information about the relevant source and target structures, as well as the relationships between these structures.
It also contains mapping information for the relevant fields, as well as any rules used to convert values that are
migrated from source fields to target fields. SAP provides predefined migration objects that you can use to
transfer your data.
This Document will give you brief details about the creation of General task list using LTMC. Steps
involved in creation of task list will be explained as below. LTMC is the migration tool/Program with in-
build templates of major master data for all modules like Bill of material creation, Material Master
Creation, Routing & Work Center upload. (Pre-defined Excel file with required format.
The Tool used to perform Migration is LTMC – (Legacy Transfer Migration Cockpit)
You can access the SAP S/4HANA migration cockpit by using transaction LTMC.

✓ System will Navigate to General data of New Migration Project Page of project, Enter Project Name
& Select Local SAP S4HANA Database Scheme & Click on Step 2 Tab

✓ In 2nd Step of Migration Object Search for object that is to be Migrate in system & click on > (Arrow)
to move object from Available Migration Object to Selected Migration Object & Click on Rev

✓ System will generate Pop up window whether to add predecessor object or not ,You can select your
own choice & click on Create Tab

✓ Once the template is ready with all required data need to follow below Steps
A. Upload File
B. Prepare (If any error or data is missing will get error hear if all data in templet is good, we can proceed further)
C. Mapping Task (When we are executing for the first-time particular object in a project, we need to Map fields,
click each line item and do Mapping of Values)
D. Simulate (Backed Program will execute and data gets simulated if any missing data of mandatory fields and fields
Mapping is wrong)
E. Migrate (If all the steps are completed without any error, then click Migrate)

Standard SAP has given uploading template with exhausted data, out of which few fields are not mandatory
for our business scenario this case we have to prepare uploading template as per our business requirement, so
mandatory field can be made optional Using T code LTMOM

in search Box, in our Case project is PP80140 & Migration object is Routing, Select Proper object with
proper client

operation as Mandatory field we can change is to option
✓ Right click on Sub operation long text & click on Change View, after clicking change view we can
change standard from Required to visible(optional)
