Note: Before we download program to the controller, we should be sure that we
have finished download operating system step. For more details, refer to the document of
Load operating system.
Step 1: Cable connection
According to the documents of CR0505, we should connected cables as below
show:
PIN 23 Power supply (10…32 V DC) Positive
PIN 01 Power supply (10…32 V DC) Negative
PIN 24 Test input (This PIN we should always connect to positive of power supply
when we load operating system or program.)
PIN 06 RS-232 RX Pin 3, PC D-sub (9 pin)
PIN 07 RS-232 TX Pin 2, PC D-sub (9 pin)
PIN 33 RS-232 GND Pin 5, PC D-sub (9 pin)
Step 2: Software installation
We need to install the software:
Codesys V2.3
Step 3: Communication Port choose
Open the Computer Management of our PC and find the Ports (COM & LPT) in the
Device Manager menu. In the Ports (COM & LPT) menu, we can find which
communication port that we will use. See the picture below.

Step 4: Program download
4-1: Turn on the power supply of controller.
There is an indication lamp on the controller and check the LED lamp we can know
the state of controller. For more detail, refer to the document of CR0505 please.
4-2: Set the parameters of software.
Run the CoDeSys software and open the program we need to download.
Selector the menu: Online \ Communication Parameters.
Just the same as the picture show below.
Then there will be another dialog box appears.
In this dialog box, selector the Port that our PC used and selector the Baudrate to
57600. We can change the value by double click on left mouse. Click on the Ok button in
the dialog box as the picture show below and finish set the parameter of software step.

4-3: Download program to the controller.
Selector the menu: Online \ Login as the picture shown. Start download program
step.
If our PC connect to the controller properly, there will be a dialog box appear which
tell us the information of the controller.

We can meet two conditions:
Ⅰ: The controller had program in and the dialog box will be the same as the picture
show below.
Ⅱ: If the controller has no program in and the dialog box will be the same as the
picture show below.
Click on the Yes button in these two conditions, there will be another interface show
how much percent the program has been download to the CR0505.
When the picture above disappear, that is shown the program has been down to
CR0505 successful.
Step 5: Controller running
After finishing steps all above, select the menu: Online \ Run as the picture shown.

Start download program running.
Above picture shows program running status.
Step 6: Finish downloading program and exit software
Select the menu: Online \ Logout, logout the CoDeSys software and then we can
close the software safely.
