supply users.
• Employers required to have MSDS for each
identified hazardous chemical.
• Must be “available” in workplace for workers to
read.

REVIEW MSDS
• The most comprehensive information available on
hazardous chemicals.
• May have nine or more sections:
• Name, address, telephone number of producer.
• Chemical identity.
• Physical Characteristics.
• Health Hazards.

LABELING
• SHIPPING- Must have name and address of shipper,
identity of chemical and hazard warnings.
• EMPLOYER IN-HOUSE LABELS- Identity of chemical
and hazard warnings. Can use placards, signs,
process sheets, batch tickets, etc., in lieu of labels.
• Exemptions-Pipes and Personal Containers.
