Introduction
❖Project Title: Centralized Rescue
Agency Registration System
❖Solution: Real-time coordination
among rescue agencies during
disasters via location sharing,
communication, and resource
management.
❖Motivation:Improve communication,
reduce delays in response, and
enhance collaboration during natural
and man-made disasters.

The Problem Statement
❖An application under which all rescue
agencies are registered and which can
display the location of other rescue
relief agencies during natural/ man-
made calamities.
❖This project aims to build a centralized
platform for real-time coordination
among rescue agencies during natural or
man-made disasters. The system
addresses the challenge of inefficient
communication, scattered resources,
and delays in response during
emergencies.

Survey of Existing Systems
❖Google Crisis Response: Fast information sharing, but no inter-
agency collaboration.
❖Sahana Disaster Management System: Resource tracking, but lacks
real-time location sharing.
❖FEMA App: Public alerts, but no agency coordination.
❖Red Cross Emergency App: Safety tips, no collaboration features.
❖UN OCHA Humanitarian Data Exchange: Centralized data, but no
real-time communication between agencies.
❖Gaps: No centralized system for real-time coordination and location
sharing among agencies.

Objectives
❖ Enable real-time location
sharing among rescue agencies.
❖ Provide direct communication
channels between agencies.
❖ Offer resource management
tools and emergency
notifications.

System Architecture
❖Frontend: HTML, CSS, EJS for templating, JavaScript DOM.
❖Backend: Node.js, Express.js handling logic and requests.
❖Database: MySQL for storing agency data, location details, and chat
records.
❖Location Services: Google Maps API and Geo-location API will be
integrated to display rescue agencies' locations and help users find
agencies nearby.
❖Security: Access control will be implemented to ensure secure
access to sensitive data, such as user credentials and agency
information.
1 October 2024 Department of Computer Science Engineering 12
User Interface
❖Design: Clean and intuitive
layout with map interface,
filters for agency type,
resources, and disaster types,
Dynamic UI with responsive
interface .
❖Dashboards: Separate views
for administrators and
agencies, chat and notification
features.

Testing Plans
The testing plan will involve both manual and automated testing
methods. Key focus areas include:
❖Functional Testing: Ensure registration, location tracking, and chat
work correctly.
❖Load Testing: Simulate high-traffic scenarios to test performance.
❖Security Testing: Validate data protection measures and access
controls.
1 October 2024 Department of Computer Science Engineering 14
The Outcome
❖Expected Outcome: A
centralized platform for rescue
agency coordination with real-
time location tracking,
communication tools, and
improved response efficiency
during disasters.
1 October 2024 Department of Computer Science Engineering 15
Conclusion
❖This project will significantly improve disaster response by providing
a real-time platform for rescue agencies to coordinate their efforts.
❖With its GPS integration and communication features, the system
will reduce response time, enhance resource allocation, and ensure
better preparedness during emergencies.
